Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere was nothing about this place that was an issue.
Clean, well furnished, local treats provided, very peaceful location, wonderful view of the sheep grazing in the fields beyond, handy good shops and the iconic sites of Northern Ireland.

This was a wee gem of a find. Absolutely gorgeous cottage and gardens, with bbq, fireplace and lots of walks within the grounds. Ally was just lovely, so helpful and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. I'd say you do need transport to stay here. I have done a review with a video on tiktok. You'll find it on Louise 💞 We'd definitely return here x

The interior was charming and spotless, with rustic wood finishes and a fireplace that made it feel like home. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor fire pit. Wi-Fi was strong, and there were board games and books available.

Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed and set in a beautiful location and we were blessed with perfect weather for the week. The grounds are fantastic, a small woodland, lake and other little areas to sit. It was totally secure for our who dog loved being about to run about. There was a lovely welcome hamper with little Northern Irish homemade goodies and host Allie could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Will definitely return.

United KingdomNothing. It's a great wee place to stay.
Allie is the most welcoming host we've ever had the good fortune to meet. She showed us around the property, made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us some good tips for things to do with our kids and dog-friendly options in Randalstown. The cottage itself is very homely and has everything you need, and the grounds are great with plenty to keep the kids and pup busy. I'd love to go back in the spring or summer when you'd be able to really make the most of the property's location and facilities.

United KingdomNothing to dislike, it is very dark if you arrive later on so only thing I would say is to bring a torch.
Great space, very warm & cosy with excellent modern heating but also a log burner. Everything you could need from streaming channels to bluetooth speakers. Beautiful views with minimal light pollution. They say they are dog friendly & they are! Our dogs felt very welcome & at home, there are spaces to give them a walk & ours loved snoozing in front of the fire. Hosts very friendly & accommodating, nothing was too much trouble - there if we needed, but not intrusive.

United KingdomQuiet, comfortable, spacious and yet cosy, well equipped, Deneden was the perfect base for our short family get together including our dog. Our host, Allie, was very charismatic, responsive to queries and helpful and informative about local facilities. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything that we needed for our stay. There were numerous luxurious extras included which we really appreciated. We loved the view over the fields and the access to the woodland and grounds. We had a fun late night stroll along with our dog by torchlight and tried out the archery and boules. The cottage was close to Randalstown which is an interesting place to visit. Loved the aquaduct walk with its views over the town and lovely gardens. Also, close to Antrim Castle Grounds with more beautiful gardens and easy walks. This would be a great base for anyone wanting to visit other places in Northern Ireland. Highly recommend Duneden 👌

United KingdomThe only downside was that our trip wasn't long enough! We could have happily stayed for a few more days!
My family and I had the best stay at Duneden. The cottage was modern, spotless, and so well-equipped for families. There’s so much to do on the grounds that you wouldn’t need to leave if you didn’t want to! We enjoyed a walk around the wooded area and relaxed by the fire pit. There are tennis courts, a basketball net, and even an indoor area with a ping pong table if the weather isn’t in your favour! Allie was the most welcoming host and recommended a few different places in Randalstown to try out, which we did, and we were not disappointed. The village itself is only a 20-minute walk, and the scenery is just wonderful! We will definitely be back but for longer next time!

Allie is an excellent host. The cottage is comfy and well stocked. The location is perfect for someone with a car who wants to explore the whole of Ulster/Northern Ireland. Allie is quick to answer any questions about places to go, things to do, restaurants, etc. We really enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing - just regret that we only stayed two nights and not longer, it would have been a perfect base for exploring NI.
Fabulous - spacious, bright and airy, spotlessly clean, everything provided for which one might possibly need for a comfortable stay set in beautiful grounds. One could easily spend a few rainy days there and still feel not bored. Host Allie could not have been more helpful and welcoming and really appreciated the “welcome basket” with homemade goodies. Within walking distance of Randalstown which is a real gem of a place. Recommend the “viaduct walk” and the Old Forge cafe for coffee and lunches, all dog friendly.

United StatesOur stay was exceptional! My parents, partner and I had a wonderful two nights at Duneden Cottage and grounds. Ali is an awesome host - and gave us a wonderful welcome. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and so nicely laid out. We enjoyed all of the amenities of the cottage and grounds. The location is superb. We had easy access to Belfast and the Gobbins walk. We also enjoyed Antrim Castle and Gardens. We travel all over the world all of the time, and this accommodation and the very personal touches Ali brought to our time there - well it was easily one of the best stays we have ever experienced. Thanks Ali, we hope to return one day!
