We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe accommodation at best was poor student digs. It was in a run down area at the top of a long hill. The room was up numerous flights of stairs going through two different coded doors. We were in the attic room. Shower tray not deep enough so the water could leak into the main room. Toilet in a closet. It's an old tired facility. I was not sure it was clean. The pillows and duvet had seen better days. There was nothing nice about thIs room. No tea or coffee in the room. Over priced and no attention to any detail for paying guest. Piled up pillows and duvet without linen in the corner. Poor WiFi so the TV kept buffing. Carpet not clean. I had considered foregoing the money I paid and finding elsewhere to stay. I would research a little more about the accommodation before I book in future based on this stay. The location was poor and run down. it was in a poor state in general. I would advise against staying here. I've stayed in a variety of places some just for a bed overnight but this is not even suitable as a place just to sleep in my opinion.

United KingdomWas complicated to gain access to the property initially. Shower leaked. There was a spoon and lighter under the bed from a previous stay. Stood on shards of glass three times between the pair of us so, obviously wasn’t hoovered. Was only provided with half a roll of toilet roll.

United KingdomGetting access to the property was challenging as the instructions were unclear. Secondly, the bathrooms were not clean; the bathroom next to our room had no shower and was too cold. I am not sure whether there was any heating system either as it was freezing.

AustraliaThe location was not conducive to outsiders who are not privy to city street life ie drug use and homelessness. This includes an open door from the street that allowed what the host called "the locals" access to privacy to congregate. The access stairs very steep and narrow. The parking was in street in dubious area. The TV would not work unless I programmed it. The 'street noise' (yelling, fighting) throughout the night matches the location.
The room itself was comfortable enough although like a small attic setup.

United KingdomI paid £39 in good faith for a double room. They took the payment, with no issues at that stage. After a 6 hours drive, they prevented me from getting into the room. It's not a hotel but an apartment. It's self-service rubbish. They hide behind not receiving certain information prior to your arrival. When you do provide, they stall do not let you in. They caused me serious issues. They disgust me. Keep clear of these people!

United KingdomThere is no light when entering and going to 2nd floor. The door key lock doesn't work first time. Bed were smelling and bedsheets had spots on them. Not washed. As soon as I entered the room, there is urine smell in both the rooms I booked. I left the place as soon I entered and seen condition of rooms. I booked another hotel which was cheaper than you, plus it was a hotel.

United KingdomNo self let in codes sent on 3pm check in time after correctly submitted identification No phone calls answered on number they give uou on booking,, they reply by text It takes 3 self check-ins with no lighting outside property. Television didn't work as No remote supplied!..on contacting them by Text(as they won't answer a calll) I was told to download an app to give you a Remote control linked to your mobile phone...(this app wanted your bank details)... On leaving the property, I was advised by a local to not wander off the main streets and to be very vigilant!!! (Allthough thus isn't yhe property's owners fault, they should research their area fir guests). Even though I was denied entry on the agreed 3pm time through the Hosts inefficiency, I was informed to leave by 10am, or a fine be incurred.. I travel all over the world, and this place is a shambles... Check it out fot your self

United KingdomWe were waiting for a long time outside the building and no matter how many times we called the number provided on the website nobody answered, however through one of the neighbours who opened the door of the building we went inside and the inside was so dipressing and unwelcoming looking like a dungon ... we weren't even informed which floor was the flat and through the neighbour we informed that there was only one flat that is for renting to people . That flat had access code which the code that we were given didn't work, therefore we had to book another accomodation with travellodge for that night. The pictures showing on the website of the location of the property looked not matching with the actual location if the property. Not a Preasent experience at all!
