Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaCavern Club tickets no longer included, apparently this was a COVID only thing that the club discontinued. There was a bit of moving around with beds because some occupants would change beds and it did bring up some cleanliness concerns. As a female traveller I would recommend booking female only dorm unless travelling with a partner. Also smelled strongly of weed
The staff were truly lovely example of the best people Liverpool has to offer, extremely hospitable and open to whatever we needed. Shower was pretty good, and location not that far by walk from some of the central attractions. Place is filled with character given it has been running for 35 years

United KingdomAdvertises free parking with reservation but this isn't true disappointingly. This was my main reason for booking so I was a bit annoyed by that. My dorm was next to the social area so it was a bit noisy on the night but it didn't go on too late. Parts could really do with a bit of a clean but overall I can't complain too much for the price.
Very friendly staff and residents. Free tea/coffee and toast.

United KingdomWear and tear very apparent in all areas, while tidy not vclean& outdoor areas look like scrap yards whichbis a shame as theres tons of potential and beauty in architecture and features. Arrived on Saturday night when a lot of alcohol drinking happening which I'm not into. Could do with deep clean in communal areas
Breakfast is Self service _different breads to make toast& pain au chocolate, coffee and range of teas also available. Lovely welcome from staff, even made a cuppa on arrival for me. Entertaining guests. . Rare opportunity to stay in old period house.

United KingdomThe lockers have no keys and unable to lock with padlock. In need of a refurbishment or lick of paint, but it's called shabby chic and you get what you pay for, a bed for the night.
Very friendly staff, laid back. Samantha super helpful. Bedding clean. Toilet clean. Security cameras. Lovely area.

United KingdomNot many plug socket to charge phone ect but not many in the dorm so wasn't a problem. The dorm smelt musty and there was some black dusty stuff that looked dodgy on the disused mantle in the dorm. Unfortunately the female shower only run cold and didn't want to use the males. I love rustic but like the staff said there was building work going on and it's a working progress.
Lovely old building with beautiful features. Friendly staff happy to help. Felt safe as a solo female and toaster, tea coffee and cereal available 24/7. There is a free parking off peak or a short walk away. Mattress was comfy and was told it was quite staying some of the time. I hit one of those nights thankfully.

United KingdomProvisions for breakfast, such as cheese, donuts, etc. were mentioned, but not quite there, so breakfast timings were somewhat vague. Couldn't get hot water from one of the showers or water from the other. Didn't have the time to remonstrate over this. One central ceiling-mounted strip light in the large dormitory, which didn't light up (in darkness I couldn't find misplaced personal items). How I wished there had been individual reading lights to each of the separate beds.
The location is within the Georgian sector, which is stunning architecturally. The room was large and spacious with tall ceiling. Female toiletry facilities were on a separate floor to the mixed sex facilities below (one man overlooked the large FEMALES sign). I was unable to reach the accommodation until after midnight. With 24-hour security they kindly accommodated me after the cut off check-in time. Breakfast consisted of help-yourself fresh bread, toasted if you wanted, a whole range of spreads, breakfast cereal, dairy and plant-based milks in the fridge, fruit, etc.

Hong KongIt is disturbing when neigbour talks or opens and close the door in the midnight. There is no light in female bathroom so I have not take the bath as it doesn't matter as I have stayed just one night and the weather is cool now. There is no duvet provided and only a large towels which I feel uncomfortable as is not warm enough.
The location is quite near the University of Liverpool. The hotel staff is so friendly that he recommended some sightseeing places of Liverpool.
