Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineThe stairs are a bit shaky and difficult to climb.
It is clean and has absolutely everything needed in a shared kitchen. It is not far from the city centre and the bus station.

AustriaThe hotel was quite hard to find, and at night it took me a while to figure out where the entrance was. The staircase is very narrow, and carrying a 25-kg suitcase up to the second floor was difficult. The room was very small and not cozy, with only two hangers and no real space for clothes. In the bathroom there was also no place to put toiletries.
The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city. The bed linen was clean, and the shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave was very practical.

BelgiumVery basic room. The room was not ready at 3pm. I had to open the front door at 10.30pm to another resident because of an indoor locking chain!
The location (Jericho area) is both nice and near the center. The shop below (Mo) is super helpful

United Kingdomit seemed like there was leftover toiletries- random bits dotted around the room but obviously didn’t affect our stay, just seemed like perhaps the cupboards weren’t cleared previously to our stay. church bells started from 7am onwards on the sunday which affected our sleep but not related to the accommodation.
it was very central, one of the cheaper accommodations in oxford. self check in was very easy, room had a fan which was much needed

United KingdomA bathroom floor mat to step onto after showering would be welcome.
While I never met Sabrina, she was accessible by phone and text and helpful (providing a recommendation for a nearby place for a very good breakfast) and efficient in providing the required information to get the keys for the building and room prior to my arrival. There were a couple of defects in the bathroom which I informed her about on leaving for fixing. The location was spot on for the two nights I stayed for my visit to Oxford U. Nothing fancy but clean and functional in a good location and for a comparatively reasonable price.

United KingdomFront door lock needs attention - it jams and it isn’t easy to open. Steep stairs with limited hand holds not easy if overburdened with luggage.
Good location - easy walk to the city centre

Great shower water pressure, and plenty of good hot water. Convenient location. Kitchen with washer/dryer is a plus, though I didn't need to use. Staff was so helpful.

United KingdomDecoration can be improved, a crack on the wall has been fixed with filler but not repainted. A towel to exit the shower would be appreciated, as well as a room hair dryer (there's one in the shared kitchen, but I guess it could be unavailable if another room is using it). The mattress could be softer, I placed the throw under the mattress cover to make it more comfy. But these are all minor issues, I'll be back.
Room is basic but perfect for my needs. Location is also excellent for those who need to stay around Oxford University Press.

United KingdomThe advert is misleading. It is not an ensuite double room, it is a room with access to a private bathroom down the corridor. The room itself has no storage facilities at all. There are no views whatsoever. The kitchen is shared with other rooms and there is no storage space for food other than the fridge. If the description of the room had been accurate my expectations would have been completely different.
Location is excellent in the vibrant Jericho neighbourhood and Sabrina's coms were great.

United KingdomThe room room lacked even the basics for an overnight stay. There was no storage for clothes - only two small hooks on the back of the door. No shelves or desk or decent chair. The painting and general finish were poor and the cleaning was only just good enough.
The property is well located in a quiet neighbourhood with a Co-op nearby and several places to eat. The kitchen looked very good but I did not use it. The shower room was tiny but adequate. Good value in an expensive city.

Cambodiapoor communication from the host, Sabrina - we messaged to ask if it was possible for an early check in or somewhere to leave our luggage but didn’t get a reply till my partner called. she said she’ll check with the cleaner but the room should be ready by 130/2pm. we checked the safe box at 2:30pm and again at 3pm and they key wasn’t there. we tried calling and messaging Sabrina but couldn’t get through to her. after waiting outside for a while a man from a nearby shop came to ask if we had booked a room as he had a spare key. our immediate reaction was relief, but on hindsight we both felt weird about it as it wasn’t clear why this man had a key to our room. if i was solo traveling i definitely wouldn’t have felt safe. there was also only one towel provided when we booked for two, and there were instructions on the door to clear the bin before checkout but there wasn’t a bin liner so we didn’t bother. positives are that it was conveniently located, wifi was good and was reasonably priced. but i probably won’t be re-booking this place when I’m back in Oxford again.

MalaysiaThere is no one to assist. Felt like I am in a deserted house. The WiFi password given cannot work. Except for the first day there is no heating from the second day onwards. However it is not critical as temperate was rising. The premise is clean and comfortable. Look like it has been renovated and upgraded recently. There is still room for improvement. I left a day earlier.
