On the website it was very misleading. We were to think that we had our own microwave and fridge in our room. We did not know that it was a shared accommodation. It states in our room we would have had a kitchenette. We were very disappointed with this.

The decor is a bit dated and the toilet/shower unit clad in plywood looked a bit funny but was entirely functional.

The pace is close to the Swansea University, had the right facilities and was reasonably quiet for a good night's rest.

The room, clean linen

No access to rooms, as there is no reception. I had to forward my passport, drivers licence and address to an individual acting as caretaker who assisted a lot. No soap/fresh towels, milk for a cup of tea. Room was very spacious and well furnished Please provide receptionist, courteous services and you will be ideal place as it is quiet. Remove old broken car on the driveway, spruce driveway and hallway

It was difficult to find - the coordinates where for the a house further up the street.

It was a room only offer. The location is excellent close to the University, Singleton Hospital and the shops. The room was comfortable and a generous size.

Wasn’t clean, bedding looked used white stains on bedding covers tiny thin pillow on the bed the floors were dirty the property was run down not kept nice there was random coat hangers on the floor there was one roll of toilet paper no spares anywhere I wasn’t expecting the ritz but very poor condition for the cost

The whole experience was awful. The pictures of the accommodation were nothing like what is shown on booking.com. I have my own photos as proof that it was not fit for purpose and will happily put them on here as evidence. Getting into the property was difficult as had not been sent any emails giving the door or key codes for entry and do not get me started on the state of our room. Room not cleaned at all, left over food on table, bin overflowing with rubbish, bed not made or changed for clean bedding, dirty towels left around the room and not even going to mention the bathroom !!!! We were eventually given another room with what was supposed to be an ensuite bathroom but it was not even in the same room. It was separate on the landing outside the room, not even finished with plywood walls and just floorboards. Has not even been decorated. Broken lampshade on landing and sockets not even fitted to wall properly so not a good impression and will not be booking again. If you need any further proof then please contact me via email and I will send the information over to you.

The building was very old and not looked after at all. As soon as I entered the room,the smell of damp was horrendous. Lights in the toilet weren't working. Bedsheets had hair on them and a very funny odour,plus bleach stains all over it. We tried to contact the host by phone, but no one answered the phone. Send a message through Booking,asking if they could at least change the Bedsheets but never got an answer back. Unfortunately, we had to pay extra and book ourselves another accommodation.Very disappointed

Directions to front door misleading took us ages to find it. Outside of property dirty unkept. lightswitch in bathroom looked health and safety hazard kept up with piece of wood, behind toilet seat dirty, leak in bathroom between loo and shower, my pillow smelt like urine, stain on bedsheet, only tea bags and milk no sugar no coffee . Avoid!

The room was not cleaned properly and was very cold, with the heating only operating at specific times. The house was poorly maintained. The shower had issues, fluctuating between extremely hot and cold, and it couldn't maintain consistent water pressure. The bathroom floor felt unstable, the bed had stains, and the paint on the walls was poorly applied.

The house is large, and the room is spacious. It was nice to have a parking space available for us. The kitchen is equipped with most of the essentials if you want to cook. The property has great potential, but it’s a shame that it is not maintained well.

Unfortunately as soon as we entered the hallway there was a strong smell of damp and the same in our room. Although the room was clean the single bed had no duvet cover. We did not use the shower as it was too small. Everything in the room is outdated so needs a refresh I.e complete makeover, lick of paint, new rugs, headboard needs to be fixed to the double bed. Sorry this is constructive feedback for improvements even though the room is cheap but not suitable for kids.

I had a great time during my stay at Sketty, the house was cosy and welcoming, and I felt completely at home. The location was ideal for exploring because it was quiet yet still accessible to local stores and landmarks.

When we arrived, there was no hand soap in the bathroom. A plate, kettle and mugs were only brought to our room after we checked in, even though they knew our check-in timeframe before we arrived. I also noticed that the bathroom sink didn't look very clean, and when we got into bed on the first night I noticed some dirty spots on the sheets, but it was too late to have them changed by that point. All of these things lead me to believe that the room was not properly cleaned before we arrived, and it is clear that since management does not oversee the cleaning staff, they are not doing a proper job. The state of the building is also rather unfortunate. There is clutter and rubbish bags lying around everywhere - in the corridors and in the kitchen, and the place looks like a dump because of it. The kitchen downstairs is hidden away and unlabelled, so very difficult to find - and it's not the kind of place where you want to be opening random doors to find it, because you're actually worried about what will be on the other side of the door. The kitchen floor is filthy and sticky, so I didn't even feel comfortable to cook there. We also didn't get the room we booked - we got room 5 instead of 2. The keys aren't even on a proper keyring, so they keep falling off the flimsy piece of wire that doesn't close. The pillows on the bed were so flat that they didn't even feel like they were there. Very uncomfortable and we left a day early because of it.
