How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

If I had to grumble I would say the room was very hot .. but two fans were provided to make us comfortable in very warm weather.
The the friendly helpful staff. Clean hotel. Fab location.

Minor issues that affected overall comfort and could easily be addressed. Only one bedside light provided and not suitable for a reading light. Only one pillow provided for each bed(twin beds). Would be helpful if decaffeinated coffee could be provided in rooms. Could not open windows in our room (2) although fans were provided.
Very clean room and nice reasonably priced breakfast cafe attached to hotel.

I had a really nice experience in Epsilon hotel. Great position (only 10 mins walk to stratford westfield and the tube). The room was big (bigger than the rooms size in the city centre), cozy, bright and with all the facilties you need for your stay. Nice bathroom and shower. In the reception guys are very kind. They give you a free drink entry and a discount for your breakfast...good job!!! I enjoyed my time!!! Thanks

Would've loved a fridge in the room
The hotel was very comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly. It is on the budget side and it was exactly what we paid for however I was impressed with the overall stay.

The hotel was near to shops, pubs, restaurants, fast food outlets and has a bus stop right in front of it. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, very good for transport, close to the venues which i wanted to visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed. A welcome voucher for a free drink was nice and thoughtful.

only problem I had was with the wifi, I got the farthest room from the entry and I think they only have one broadband without an extender so the wifi didn’t reach my room
i loved the position near the station and how it was near the main street but tucked in the corner so you don’t hear all the noise

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the restaurant and the breakfast is not included. It also only starts at 7.30 so I couldn’t make it.
The staff was very friendly. I upgraded and extended my staff and it was very easy to do. Also the general manager is very nice. It’s a small business and everyone treats everyone like family. Also the rooms are spacious and very clean

Throughout my stay I haven’t had any issues.
First of all the location of the hotel is perfect! My room was clean, staff was nice to me. It definitely worth its price.

It was very warm overnight, but there were lots of fans available
The property was very handy for Abba Voyage which was the purpose of our trip. We booked on the day we arrived as our original accommodation cancelled our booking.

The pillows were quite thin so could have done with another one, but I didn't ask for another one as I managed ok.
The hotel was in a great location, just 10 minutes from Stratford station. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We had fans to keep us cool. I would definitely stay here again.

The facilities in the room weren’t great. The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall, there was mould in the shower and the toilet seat was wonky. Only 2 tiny cups in the room but it was a family of 3 who had booked.
The price was reasonable and the location to central London was good.

Our room was located near the kitchen, so it got a bit noisy starting around 7:00 AM as the staff began their morning preparations.
The room was nice, the breakfast was good, the bathroom and towels were clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.

Shower was quite small not a lot of room inside.
It was very central to Stratford Station & Olympic Stadium. Bed was comfy & breakfast was made to order which was very tasty.
