Property was fantastic, home from home. Very quiet, local village shop staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal for days out.

No seating outside House to relax on sunny days, garden very small that was the only negative. House was lovely but couldn't sit in the small garden that we did have.

House was nice, beds comfortable enough space. Nice walks, lovely views.

The beds were very narrow- not comfortable for two people. The checkout time at 10 am was too early for us.

We stayed in this property for one night in July 2025 while travelling to London from Cornwall. The cottage was lovely! Everything was very clean. The surroundings were very calm. The house had all the facilities that we needed. It was a very special experience:)

The place is so nice and it is a pity that some details make it short from being great. Some examples: matrass in upstairs bedroom was awful, there is literally no place (e.g. a chair or similar) in both bedrooms to place clothes on other than the floor, the toilet did not even have a place for the toilet paper and it had to stay on the floor.

The cottage is a cute 1884 small building at the entrance of a large estate. The setting is really beautiful and quiet with squirrels, birds etc around.

Absolutely stunning historic house in a stunning location. The host went above and beyond for us. The Easter gift was a lovely surprise and late check out gave us time to lay in and soak in everything for that bit longer. The baby lambs on the way there were adorable. Lots of wildlife, pheasants, cows, and horses. Games and toys in the house which the little ones loved. Only thing I'd of added would be a hot tub although still fabulous without. Thankyou!

Everything was perfect

The location is in a pretty village with lovely countryside walks. A bonus was the village pub . Very friendly pub and 2 mins walk from the Lodge

Was slightly confused by the parking information. Directions said to use a car park next to the house, which I initially thought meant the Manor house, when they actually meant next to the lodge.

Very well equipped and comfortable, especially the beds. Warm and cosy in a great location, just 5-10 minutes from Sidmouth sea front.

The lighting upstairs was not quite bright enough for getting make up on for a night out and there were no full length mirrors. The shower wasn't the most luxurious but it was hot and that's the main thing! It won't be high on everyone's list for the above but I came down for a black tie do.... Otherwise I wouldn't have noticed!

We had great information prior to our stay. Really clean super soft thick towels. It was funky design features made it feel comfy and cute. My daughter loved finding the toys in the best little persons room so this was a great touch too. My son loved the biscuits and when I found the tea bags I was thrilled. You've thought of everything wish we'd stayed longer.

We had a lovely short stay at Estate Lodge between Christmas and New Year. The location was perfect and tucked away in beautiful countryside. The decor was homely and cosy, and the beds really comfortable.
