We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomWhile the instructions to enter and get keys were very detailed and easy to follow, I would have preferred these via booking.com rather than whatsapp.
The location is fantastic. There are several car parks closeby, and they aren't too expensive. The guest house is moments away from the beach, the pier, a fantastic arcade (lots of 2p machines!) and a myriad of great food options. There is a kitchen, though we didn't use this, as there are also tea and coffee facilities in-room. Very spacious room, a good double bed with room round both sides - something many hotels scrimp on!

United KingdomThe FAQs indicate 24 hour parking permits are available, which is not true so this should be updated. No option to add breakfast and the bathroom sink was really narrow, difficult to wash face without splashing water on floor! We would have appreciated more variety in tea and coffee (no decaf or herbal tea bags just builder's tea). I think booking.com have made a mistake rating as a 5 star hotel as it does not have the facillities you would expect from a 5 star. It is still a great place to stay.
Great location, very central and property was spotless and clean thoughout. Easy self check in and owner messaged to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a really hot week and there was a fan provided in the room, which was very much appreciated as there is no air con.
