Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt seemed like we couldn't get in as we were late but found an open door :) They don't do breakfast but suggest a very cafe just down the road so all good
Nice comfy room , plenty of parking and near where we wanted to be. Got there late so can't say what the bars or food was like. Very nice young lady had stayed to welcome us in

United KingdomOther guests, very loud on the 1st evening (arguing and door slamming) following I think the party that was held at the pubs outdoor space.
Nice room, great location for visiting Blenheim and the farmers dog, short walk into the village with plenty of pubs. Food very reasonable price/quality.

United KingdomThe road noise. Not the hotels fault. The A40 is very close by and it was a hot evening so we needed to have the windows open. On a cooler night we would not have had any issues.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival the room had a double bed and I requested a twin room. The staff quickly sorted out the room. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

United KingdomIn the bathroom, the shelf was at an angle, tilted forward, so nothing could be put on there, it would slip off. There was no plug in the basin.
Friendly staff, lovely food. Great location. Great big shower cubicle in the bathroom.

AustraliaOnly in heatwave conditions the room was very hot could only open one window a few inches but they did have a small fan we could use. Also problems with the cold water in the shower running hot but that was going to be looked at after we left.
Lovely old pub, plenty of parking. Spotless, comfortable bed and pillows. Good food for lunches and dinner. A big shout out for the lovely Lucy she looked after us and made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much Lucy.

United KingdomThe meal we had in the restaurant was not up to scratch, some of my food was burnt and it wasn’t good value for money.
The hotel was a very nice Cotswold stone building. Room very comfortable and they had provided a room fan on what was a very hot weekend. Staff were friendly.

United KingdomThe room was ok, the window didn’t open because it was broken, it was 30 degrees. The shower dripped all night, I’ve had bigger wardrobes than the toilet/ shower room in this hotel and I don’t think it warrants the room price of £295 per night. The staff were very cheerful and helpful, no problems there. It’s just way overpriced for what it is.
It was close to the venue we were attending in the evening

United KingdomWhilst the room was good, etc, it could do with a little TLC -Unfinished decorating - there were literally parts of the walls that just hadn't been finished! -No fan (understand no AC because this is England!). Mid heat-wave....I am SO glad we thought to bring our own. -Broken shower - overhead shower great, but the knob to change to hand held shower head just span round and round so couldn't just wash hair -Loo roll holder broken -The windows only open about 15cm, and I understand why but one of them doesn't stay open, you have to prop it.
Easy to find. Close to Blenheim where we were going for a concert. Very friendly staff. The room was good; very comfy bed, lovely tea/coffee making facilities, clean.

AustraliaWe had dinner there. The menu looked fabulous however there were a number of issues. There was new staff member who got the order a bit wrong - that was fine and we totally understood. However, we ordered entrees and mains for the 3 of us and EVERYTHING came out at the same time. I would have thought that even the kitchen staff would have questioned that. All of that aside, when we did have our meal it was a big disappointment..not good at all. The sad part is that the food was no reflection on the pub and the front of house staff. Sorry, but they need to get a better chef/cook. 😔
The pub was lovely and the staff very pleasant. The rooms were outstanding!!…Super impressed.

United KingdomThe bed mattress dipped & was quite soft. Shame breakfast was not offered & for some reason we just had one rice krispie bar in our room . We did not agree with a service charge being added to our dining bill , especially as just 2 of us also.
Although near a main road it was relatively quiet. Room was clean & decor nice. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good. Hotel in a good location for visiting area.
