Communication with the host prior to arrival was poor. I selected an arrival time through the Booking.com but got no response. Host seemed surprised when I called them to check-in like they were not expecting me. They rushed to me from an event which I was grateful for but I did have to wait 20 mins in my car.

Decent studio appartment very close to Teesside University - great location as I was there to work on campus. Clean room with good wifi, on site parking and basic kitchen facilities/utensils/cleaning products.

The shower only gave very hot water which I was unable to get cooler. The room was a little on the cool side. An extra blanket would have been nice.

The host was friendly and accommodating. The self-contained flat was great with the kitchen facilities and private ensuite. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

The noise from the road and you could hear the occupants in the next room. No breakfast option.

The location was an easy stroll to the city centre and main historical sites. Also the car parking space made it easy to park and go out. Inside the room is a good size

Place doesn't look great from the outside, There was a strong sewage smell which came from bathroom although bathroom was very clean. This put us off using water other than that everything was OK especially for what we needed

Great for what we needed for a night. Owner was friendly & helpful. In a great area for town centre, stadium, transport links. Carpets floor bathroom kitchen all good & clean

When we arrived we were first put into apartment 2 which seemed on arrival okay, we were not expecting a fantastic place to lay our heads but we were very disappointed with this apartment, there was a musty smell that I thought was caused by putting the fridge on but later found out it was the water in the shower plughole that had gone off. This really put me off as the bed was right next to the bathroom door and when I got to bed I felt the sheets were not adequate, very old. I could only sleep 4 hours and at one time I was even thinking of leaving and going somewhere else but my husband calmed me down.

Femi was great, he was the perfect host. He addressed all our needs and requirements. When he saw how upset I was with apartment 2 he immediately put us into another apartment, This was fresh and welcoming.

Ground floor with window facing the street and the front door of the building looks like it's been kicked in/front door hasn't been patched up well so on that first impression it didn't feel that safe but had no issues and only stayed the one night/got in late any way. Fridge freezer wasn't plugged in when we checked in but we didn't spend much time in the space so it didn't affect us.

At first glance there isn't much to the studio as it's a large space with not much in it but that does leave plenty of room to move about. The bed was really comfortable! Host was friendly and promptly let us into the space. Decent price for the space.

A small TV would have been nice to have. This would have changed my rating from good to very good. Also the shower was either hot or scolding hot, and the taps are very difficult to adjust once they and your hands are wet.

Fantastic location for Middlesbrough. Close to town for a night out and for the Stadium if going for a match. Very useful having kitchen facilities, giving you the option to cook yourself if you want to.
