SwedenThe reception staff for the student housing and the staff for tourists are not the same people. The staff that handles tourists does not work on Sundays - when we checked in on a Saturday and noticed that evening that the shower was not working, the staff at the reception said they couldn’t help us and no one answered our message on booking, therefore our shower did not get fixed.
Nice location close to the Buchanan bus station and the city centre. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. I do think it’s a nice idea to rent out empty student housing during the summer.

IrelandLack of adequate recycling facilities, some of the staff were not very helpful. The Teflon pots weren’t great and no large towels were provided. No kettle was provided. It would have been helpful to know this in advance.
Location was great, the studio apartment was good sized and bright, comfortable. Aisling on reception was helpful. The on site gym was good.

CroatiaExcesive prepared messaging but not answering quick enough to questions. Not enough toilet paper and no garbage bins in the room eventhough we had to throw the garbage ourselfs.
The room is new with bigger than twin bed, desk and closet. There are free toiletries in the bathroom. There is a laundromat and snacks machine in the lobby of the student home.

Very helpful and nice staff. The room was quiet and the place felt safe. It had the basics; a nice long desk, wardrobe and a bed. Location was good, a 10-15min walk from the center with a supermarket nearby which is handy. Room was clean and tidy when I went in.

PortugalThere were a few things I would change in the apartment. First of all, there should be a second lighting option, since the main lights in the bedroom are very white. Then the lights in the bedroom worked with a sensor (which is fine), but they always turn on the ventilator and stayed on for some 20 minutes. Finally, there was nothing to clean the toilet bowl with.
Cheap, clean, comfortable and in an ok location. The private bathroom was very appreciated and the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomBooking team over-communicates invasively; if you don't answer one of their many standard emails immediately, expect them to phone you, even if you're at work. However, the booking team is not related to the on-premises staff, who are friendly and helpful. Property advised with kitchen access but on arrival signage made it clear that the kitchen was "closed" and an extra cleaning charge may be made if it was used. If cooking is important for your stay then consider explicitly confirming with venue in advance. Bring earplugs and an eye mask - blind does not shut out the bright dawn sun, and bathroom light is on a timer so makes a loud noise for around 15 minutes after the bathroom has been vacated.
Well-located (15 minutes' walk from Glasgow Central) and a reasonable price. Quality of accommodation is about the same as a basic hotel and is pleasant for a short stay. Very quiet over the summer - few other guests and so no disturbance. Good storage for clothes. Bed is good - larger than single size, maybe 1.5 size. Would only fit two people if slim and friendly.

Spainthe spring mattress was so awful that I could not sleep at all the first night. Not only was awful but also it was put up the other way around. (tainted? some disease? ) Nevertheless,they did change it the following day after my strong complaint. the shower was clogged because of the lack of maintenance of the room. They solved i as well. It seems as if for a short stay the room was not checked (shower clogged) and it was populated with some expendable or damaged equipment ( the mattress) There is always a percentage of people that for one or two nights will never complain. Therefore as a rule of thumb , you should always check the mattress before accepting the room and open the shower at least for 5 minutes.
