Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My card was declined twice at reception and the staff member dealing with it presumed it was my fault… he wasn’t going to try another terminal… but another staff member stepped in and had the sense to try another terminal. I did have a back up card. They should try everything before worrying the customer that they won’t get their room!
Clean room and comfortable bed. Bathroom was very clean too.

Them camp double bed isn't ideal at all.
It is value for money, the environment and closeness to town centre and train station.

Bed was a little small so did feel a little squeeze.
Location was perfect for what we wanted and wasn’t right on the road so nice and quiet. Breakfast selection was as expected from a hotel.

Very noisy corridor with people talking loudly outside our room
Holiday Inn are always good value and they accept dogs. Very nice breakfast with lots of choice. I gave it a 7 but probably nearer 8

Front desk – not the friendliest (afternoon/evening) plus I observed male staff occasionally going to the back of the room to interact with another staff member, which gave the impression they were viewing something on a mobile phone.
Cleaners, staff that worked breakfast time and chef were lovely.

Thermostat wasn’t working in our room, they did give us a fan to help a little bit which wasn’t to bad
Location was good right next to the town centre, lots of food places around and the entertainment and cinema located close, breakfast was good no issues with it at all

The shower was too hot for me and couldn’t be adjusted. The coffee machines were broken this morning after 40 minutes I was finally able to get a hot drink after my breakfast
The air con in the room was lovely and cold, bed was comfortable. Had an iron and ironing board and hairdryer.

Useless iron. Refills of croissants at breakfast a bit slow, left to go cold.

With the window open there was traffic noise.
Big car park . Hotel is close to the station, so well situated. Football club is within walking distance. Very good value since a breakfast is included

limited breakfast on offer the croissants had run out fir us never got refilled when eating tomatoes were just chopped up fresh tomatoes very different only hash browns sausage bacon and beans no choice of eggs or mushrooms. Was ok but not as good as other holiday in. expresses we stay at. Pillows were quiet lumpy husband doesn’t usually care about most stuff but he did comment on those usually they are lovely

Floor in hall area not very clean. Asked for double bed but got 2 singles. Also asked for early check in but wasnt allowed even though requested weeks in advance.
