Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere are areas inside the property that could do with some attention as tired. New duvet for sofa bed the duvet itself looks extremely tired. The kettle was the same both need replacing. Kettle had water in and very scaled and knob very loose. A few comments were left by previous people about slippy rug and I found the same, slipped a few times on living room one, could do with being removed or grippers underneath. Could do with new utensils ie forks, knives, spoons and also a welcome tray with milk, tea, coffee, sugar would have been a nice touch after a long journey. I’d be happy to pay a little more if the place was freshened up and above comments address.
Beautiful location, comfortable property, very quiet, great value for money, would definitely stay again. Loved the alpacas.

United KingdomIts a small cottage but it was big enough for me and two children who shared the sofa bed. Lot of space for them to play and it was nice to sit outside while they ran around and its a nice location to explore the area, just a quick drive from Glouchster. We also got to feed the lamas.

SpainIt gets a bit too small and there's little space for storage of clothes. Window handle was broken. The fridge didn't fully close if you didn't push twice (so we woke up to a wasted grocery shopping one morning). Plus, the bathroom is inside the bedroom, it's got a little window looking into the bedroom, which means no privacy at all. Windows didn't have any shutters, so very bright from the early hours. No indoor airer, which means your clothes won't dry if it is rainy outside. They've got two separate taps, for cold and hot water, which is very old fashioned and difficult to get the right temperature.
Lovely play area for children, surroundings are nicely looked after.

SingaporeThe cupboard that sticks out above the refrigerator. For a family of 4 it's quite crowded if the weather is wet, and everyone sleeps in the same room, and can hear everything in the sitting-room so you need
I like the peace, quiet and space outside! Lovely to have a bathtub too!

United KingdomAs mentioned in other reviews, it's necessary to be careful when standing up from the fridge, due to the overhead cupboard, but this is only a very minor niggle.
Lovely cottage, in a fantastic location, with alpacas as neighbours...... What's not to like?!

NetherlandsThe kitchen was not really clean, sticky surfaces. Cutlery, plates and cups etc too. Had to do clean before using properly. Living/kitchen area not really cosy. There was a couch but for 2 only, no coffee table or anything. Not really a nice place to chill. Foldout bed not comfortable, sagging towards the middle. Whole cottage felt small. Stayed in trailers that had similar footprints but felt more spacious. Didn’t feel at home, tried to spend whole day away until kids had to go to bed… not our best place to stay.
The WiFi was good, the shower nice and hot. Location was ok, near Gloucester and not too far from other nice places. Small play area for kids and some alpacas to look at. Bedroom felt cosy.
