Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast was nice, with plenty of choice, but wasn't particularly exciting
Lovely, friendly hosts, great room with a patio to sit out on and a very comfortable bed and bedding. The location is super, in a very pretty village with walks along the canal and a pub which served the most delicious roast dinner

United KingdomNot applicable , nothing not to like.
As my high scores indicate everything was perfect. Continental breakfast was fresh, lots of choice and a very modern breakfast room. Our room was spotless and everything we needed including coffee and tea. Our room Had a private outside sitting area which caught the evening sun. Parking was off road in a locked gated area. Information sheets included suggestions for eating out at nearby restaurants, they were of good quality and great value for money. We met both the proprietors who whilst were very welcoming and friendly left us to enjoy our privacy and peacefulness of the location.

FranceNothing to dislike!
Fabulous place to stay, shame it was only one night. It is so well organised: self service continental breakfast. There is also a fridge and freezer for guests to use, plus cooking facilities. We had a private terrace with tables, bench, chairs to sit with a glass of wine and watch the cows in the field behind. Private gated parking was reassuring, we have a Volvo estate car and had no problem parking, easily enough space for us.

United KingdomAbsolutely spot on, exceptional value. Spacious rooms, ample secure parking, lovely large patio area, it's like home away from home, it's been warm and inviting, very comfortable and relaxed. Bed is very comfortable with good quality bedding etc. The host is friendly and inviting. Close enough to have most things you're going to want a short walk/drive away. Had a brilliant experience, would definitely recommend and definitely be visiting again. It's got everything you could want for the day/night. Thank you Iain.

United KingdomNothing - highly recommend!
Only had an overnight stay on our way north, but what a lovely guesthouse! Well-situated in a small village with nearby pub for evening meal. Fresh, clean, and comfortable large rooms, with great bathroom, sofa, tea/coffee facilities, and fan provided. Secure off-road parking in private gated courtyard. Flexible, self-service continental breakfast. Iain has thought of everything and such excellent value - thank you so much!

AustraliaThe guest next door kept banging the entry door going in & out often or his own door? till quite late .he was a smoker. I found it hard to get to sleep with the door banging. Soft closures would be an idea?
Can't fault the place & the view from my little private courtyard of the field and cows was lovely. So modern and clean & comfortable. I loved the fact I could keep my takeaway food in kitchen fridge and heat it up when needed. Facilities even for cooking a real bonus esp eggs in the morning. The spread for our breakfast was amazing and I made scrambled eggs. A change from ham & hard boiled eggs in Europe😋 Ian was really helpful too. Thanks.
