Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt can be challenging to find free parking on the streets but there are several paid car parks available in the area.
Lovely cottage with lots of character and ideally located to explore the area. We loved sitting on the terrace in the morning and eveings enjoying the views of the castle and the beach. We also liked being able to walk down to the shops and restaurants and along the promenade. Allsion was very helpful and kind and always available if you need any assistance.

United KingdomNothing it was wonderful!
Throughout the booking Allison the host kept in touch and couldn’t be more helpful. The cottage itself is far cuter and prettier than the pictures show. It’s been done beautifully and is a pleasure to stay in. We had the most marvellous time and it’s in a perfect location as well. The views are wonderful as well! The check-in was fantastic and we dealt with a wonderful lady who went out of her way to help us. I can recommend the cottage highly enough.

United KingdomNothing at all
Having stayed in many cottages and apartments I have to say that this was by far and away the very best ever. The cottage location was perfect in the heart of Mumbles and the views from the high level garden over the rooftops and the Cardiff bay were exceptional. Inside the cottage was immaculately clean and very well on comfortably furnished, more like a persons home in regular use than a holiday let. In the lounge was a very comfortable leather setter and matching armchair and the whole atmosphere and ambience was one of loving care. On a practical side the kitchen was exceptionally ell equipped and had we wished to the facilities would have been more than adequate to cook even the most complex meal. Crockery and cutlery were plentiful and of a high standard including proper wine glasses (often lacking in rental properties. The fridge had been stocked with milk and the tea and coffee containers were full and fresh. Cleaning and washing facilities including a washing machine were plentiful and excellent. All in all My wife and I have never found a property even remotely as good. Finally the host Allison was extremely efficient in responding to any questions we had and had a warm, friendly and welcoming manner.

United KingdomStairs very steep and rope handrail moves so not very steadying. The terrace also has extremely steep stairs and is not suitable for oldies or young kids. Needs to be a trip hazard warning on kitchen step to outside as 2 of us tripped on it. Kitchen mats slide around and are hazardous too. Single beds very hard and uncomfortable. Twin room en suite very tight for space and door doesn't stay closed.
Great location, very close to beach and shops.Spotlessly clean.

United KingdomGuests may want to be aware that the second bedroom (in the back, downstairs) can feel chillier than the rest of the cottage. (The heating system is good, but it is hard to make the downstairs warm without the upstairs getting too hot)
Charming, characterful cottage on a quiet street in Mumbles, but still very centrally located. All amenities you might need. Particular standouts included the homely wood-burning stove (with firewood available) and the outside back garden terrace with stupendous views over Swansea Bay. Easy and flexible communication with the host.

We liked the location. The property was clean, the rooms were all good sizes. The view from the terrace was lovely.

United KingdomNo parking and on a very narrow lane. I should have google earthed the area first. The rope handrail going up the stairs could do with being tightened up a bit.
Centrally located and close to shops/pubs etc. Downstairs twin bedroom with en-suite was perfect for me with mobility issues. Cosy and clean, although there was a blood stain on the underside of one of the single quilt covers. The view from the terrace was lovely and would be great on a sunny day. Cottage is nice and warm.

United KingdomParking isn’t the easiest, but that’s more a Mumbles problem than anything this property can do something about.
This is a very quaint place cottage in an ideal central mumbles spot. Even on a rainy November weekend it made for a relaxing stay. Facilities are fine - not a huge place of course but was find for us, a father and son visiting Swansea university for an open day.

United KingdomEverything was perfect for us. Just a note that the garden terrace would be difficult for anyone with limited mobility.
- Cottage interior spotlessly clean and very nice decor, feels just like a “Fisherman’s” cottage! - all facilities kept in good condition - lovely terraced garden with seating area for a group, has great views of the sea, oystermouth castle, Swansea bay and surrounding hills - great location in Mumbles for shopping/eating/going out for local coast-side walks and short car journeys to the other amazing locations along the Gower coastline. - Allison answered our query so quickly and was extremely helpful

United KingdomSuch a lovely cottage, the decor is fab. So much attention to detail! We spent the day mooching about mumbles (everything you need accessible by foot) and both evenings on the terrace watching the fireworks over Swansea. A fab location with amazing views. You can hear the sound of the sea from the terrace which was so relaxing while we were having our morning coffees. Perfect little weekend away!

United KingdomAs the log burning fire is prominent in the listing, it was a little disappointing to be advised of the charge for logs etc once booked ( not that it was expensive). It seemed a little mean but certainly didn't spoil the stay.
Very cute cottage moments from the sea front. It's clear lots of attention has gone into keeping this cottage feel traditional and homely and utilising the small proportions. Everything you could need and a lovely view from the terrace. We loved it. The communication was excellent and checking in/out simple.
