How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Only 10 minutes walk from East Finchley station, the apartment is perfectly equipped, it is spacy, cosy, clean and comfortable. Eimear responded very quickly to all our questions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Thank you so much for our first stay in your beautiful garden flat with all important free parking space. We found it to be immaculately clean, comfortable and well appointed. We were very grateful for the welcome pack and for your hospitality including earlier entry to the flat and allowing our son who lives locally to meet us here before we headed out for a celebration lunch. We hope to return the next time that we visit our son and will recommend to our family and friends.

We loved our stay at the appartment. Everything was great, form the first messages with the host to our departure. It was so comfortable, cosy, clean. Good beds, nice furnitures, a lot of very soft towels. The access to the garden was great during our stay because of the hot weather, even if in the appartement the temperature was perfect, not hot at all. We had a great time talking with Eimear and her husband, very nice people. We let our car in front of the house during our stay and take the tube, 7-8 min walk form the house. A few shops within wlak distance, perfect to eat at home on the evenings!

Very comfortable and clean place. The host was wonderful and very helpful. My family had an amazing time there. Location was perfect, short walking distance to the East Finchley Underground. Will definitely come back again.

Late at night and early in the mornings it was sometimes a bit noisy above. The shops and tube station was a bit of a walk away, but that's what happens when you don't have a car to get around.
Owner was easy to get a hold of for any questions and was quick to help in any way. The house was very cozy and had a lot of extras to help you feel at home. Was lovely to have a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a lot of cooking equipment to make some decent meals with. It was also lovely and clean when we arrived and organised well to be able to find everything we needed.

Fabulous flat! A home from home! Spotlessly clean with absolutely everything you need. Excellent for transport links, shops, bars and restaurants. Can’t recommend it enough.

The flat was very clean, cosy and fully equipped, suitable for a short but also a longer stay. Located in a very quiet and safe area, only a 10 minute walk from East Finchley and Muswell Hill shops, cafes and restaurants as well as East Finchley station it is the perfect location for easy access to central London or leisurely walks in the surrounding areas. Highly recommended to solo travellers, families and couples. I would definitely book it again on my next visit to London.

You can hear everything from the house above but hey it’s a basement flat.
It was quaint and clean and having 2 double beds (sofa bed and double) gave us the flexibility we needed for mum and I. The kitchen was well equipped and the quality of finishing touches were high. Our host was quick to help us with the couple of issues we had! She was really friendly and nothing was any trouble.

The apartment was absolutely amazing. Clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen it had everything you would need. It was a real 'home from home' and I have stayed in many places and would highly recommend this apartment. Fantastic.
