Unfortunately bedside cabinet was dirty and there was an empty dirty food packet in the drawer, also a piece of litter was on the floor. More attention is needed for the cleaning of the toilet, also the toilet seat was loose. Firealarm Bell was very loose.

Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Cooked breakfast was good.

Room was very dated, and quite dusty. Disappointing that the air con unit was not working. The stairs up to the room had quite a bit of movement, and one step felt very wobbly.

Breakfast was very nice. The spa swimming pool was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful. There was plenty of free parking and the location was very good.

Room was musty ever was very old. This was probably a very classy place in the 1980s but forty years later it desperately needs a makeover and investment

I spent a night at this hotel after a long, exhausting journey, and from the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. A special thank you to James at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. His kindness, attentiveness, and calm presence made all the difference. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely helpful and caring, especially when you’re tired and far from home. The rest of the staff were also lovely, but James truly stood out. Thank you again for making my stay so easy and comfortable!

The hotel is a little ‘tired’ but the decor is elegant and we had a beautiful room with a sumptuous bathroom and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The chef cooked us a steak au poivre with chips and broccoli the evening before which was very tasty and we had a sticky toffee pudding and cheese and biscuits - all served nicely sitting overlooking the garden. The swimming pool was beyond expectations as warm as a bath

Beautiful hotel with a stunning swimming pool.Could do with fixing the broken jets in the swimming pool but is still a beautiful location where I would always come back.

It’s looking a bit tired Attention to detail lacking; one day we had a bag in our bin but 2 days we didn’t. One day they didn’t leave bathmat. One day we only had one hand towel. They didn’t replace our complimentary water any days, we asked for some & got some however. Our last morning (28th) the cooked breakfast was WAY too salty. I ordered sausage, scrambled eggs & has brown but couldn’t eat it 🫤

room a bit dusty. TV remote control not working properly. Fire alarm going off during the night (false alarm apparently) but fire brigade arrived and made us all wait outside in the car park while they checked it out.

The TV network was bad, I couldn't watch well (bad reception) Very poor light in the room, only in the corridor Shower head was so bad and so old.

The Man at the reception was exceptional and very helpful. I was impressed by the level of service. The room was very big, bed was big and bath too. Wifi was great

Breakfast was ok but could have been better The alarm went off about 10 times during the evening, even for a couple of seconds it was somewhat distracting They failed to link the fact we were staying for 2 nights (each night was on a seperate booking) so we got a member of staff knocking on our door to tell us we were late in checking out...We had to remind them we had the room for 2 nights. Room was pretty stuffy in the hot weather and even though we had a fan it wasnt ideal. The Spa was lovely and the gym though small had everything I certainly needed for a workout I did. Staff were lovely.

The room 5 was not value for money. Tired shabby decor, too much big clumsy furniture and the bathroom was truly weird. Climbing up a stair inside the bathroom door was not good. The washbasin tap was loose and around the scaled up bath taps and sink outlet the seals looked horrid. We were going to raise these points as we left but there was another ? guest or ? staff member at the desk and we decided to just leave. I do have photos.

The friendly welcome at reception. Good service in the Dining room. Food plentiful, cooked food portions were generous. Fridge in the room was good. The hotel has a pool and spa but our visit was too short to use them.

Needs updating. Very limited choice of food in evening, restaurant had no atmosphere at all and felt more like a cafe, no lunchtime menu, staff were hardly visible.

The property requires renovation and deep clean. Carpet floors give impression of never being vacuumed with thick layer of dust, hair, etc. The garden furniture are not cleaned either with glass tables being straight on filthy.

The location is nice and convenient.
