Hot tub was unusable unfortunately as it needed cleaned. Disappointed as this was a factor advertised that affected our decision to book our getaway. Apart from that overall very satisfied

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VENUE, but more a heads up for anyone staying here The midges! ...... we messed up and forgot to bring repellant. Thankfully it is sold down at the bunkhouse hostel. However it wasn't quite enough for me and I got bit quite a lot my second night. so please come prepared !!

a beautiful stay here for the weekend. the venue is amazing especially the surroundings. Beautiful walks to do all around. Some communication issues at the start before we got there but this was all sorted. Due to kelly being away the weekend we were there, the first night we ate food just down the road at The bunkhouse - food was fabulous. Second night Kelly friend victoria, who was staying at the house has a curry business and we ate from her. Again amazing food Room were comfortable and a good size. Kitchenette has items in to cook with, more than I expected air-fryer and microwave The views and peace and quiet are too good for words.

The property could’ve been a tad bit cleaner and the facilities (towels, robes etc.) were quite dated and worn.

Wonderful location with cute pets and highland cows. Great views of the hills right from the hot tub! The host was really nice as well and the room was well equipped.

Sofa bed was broken, we did get a fold out bed but it wasn’t comfortable for my teen to sleep on. Can’t be helped but the midges were horrendous

Beautiful location, the kitchen had equipment we hadn’t expected ( microwave and air fryer) which was great. My youngest loved seeing the animals The history of the garrison was interesting for both adults and kids

Perfect location next to Loch Lomond and West Highlandway. The farm was very nice, good food and a very lovely host Kelly. We had a wonderfull stay.

I loved the walks in the country . Passing loch Kateine . The food was delicious we had chicken casserole. Kelly grows all her own vegetables . A true place to come for comfort and beauty . I can not recommend this beautiful place enough . Treat yourself . 10/10 well done Kelly you are a star 🌟.

Just back from a two day stay at this amazing place . Kelly is the best host you could wish for. I call her super woman . The place, the food,the hospitality is 10/10 . I highly recommend The Garrison for a fantastic time to relax and enjoy The hot tub was amazing too.. WE Will defenatly be back .

Confusion over dinner that had been requested, not enough and only beef stew with no carbs. Hadn’t realised that there were some cooking facilities in the room eg air fryer & microwave. Farm manager kindly boiled us some rice but there was not enough food for 2 after a long day in the hills. Suggest making this clear on listing if expecting people to bring own carbs eg potatoes/rice. The honesty cafe was a bit under-stocked.

Comfortable stop-over while doing West Highland Way. Fun to be staying on a working smallholding. Beautiful evening walk straight from front door to Loch. Wonderful to make use of the hot-tub after a long day in the hills Kind caretaker farm manager collected beers for us from local bar. Great ordnance survey map on the wall of local area. Also WHW guidebooks available in the room. Lovely to have fresh boiled eggs for breakfast. Loved reading all the history of the garrison which the owner has painstakingly put together in the Welcome Book

I’ve rarely stayed in an apartment that was put together with so much love and attention to detail. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and thought that went into creating this space. It was equipped with everything we needed. Everything was not only clean and well-organized, but also incredibly cozy and thoughtfully arranged. It’s clear that Kelly truly care about making their guests feel welcome.

Coffee making was limited to black caffeinated only, decaffeinated coffee and milk on arrival would have been appreciated. Owner did leave message that they could be contacted, but we discovered issue first thing in the morning
