Slightly tricky to drive in & out off the High Street, given a heavy gate secures the property. However, the heavy gate is also a strength if you are after secure parking.

Great communication in advance of our stay. Very friendly and helpful reception. Strong gate secures a small parking area (£10 charge applies). Nice area with good public transport links - close to the Northern line tube and buses. It suited us well for a gig at the O2 in Brixton.

Very steep narrow stairs to get to the lower rooms. If you have a large/heavy suitcase bare that in mind

Location to underground was great, near enough to a couple of pubs and a Tesco, bed was comfortable.

The flooring was squeaky, which woke me up in the middle of the night when guests from upstairs arrived. However, this issue is understandable as it is an old building, and there is nothing you can do about it.

The property itself was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.

The mattress was a bit hard for me.

Easy to access. Great location. Very clean. Fantastic pub for dinner and drinks right next door. Also a very short walk from Clapham South tube. Fridge in the room meant I could buy breakfast from the nearby late night supermarket the night before.

I would have rated it a 10, but reduced to 8 as we were on the top floor which was at the top of the hotel. There was no lift.

It was a really clean hotel and the room was spotless. The towels and bed linen were clean as well as the whole apartment. The kitchen had all of the amenities of a home.

While I was there it was mainly unattended, so I didn’t see anyone but remote communication was good and there were no problems

It was an old building, so there where a lot of creeks, sounds from other rooms. Understandable for age of the property but a bit alarming for a solo female traveller. Also would of been helpful to have some information on the closest taxi service. Not been from London I had no app to order an Uber I got some numbers from a lady at the reception but they were not helpful. If there was a local firm the hotel could have an account or agreement with that would have been very helpful.

Brillant Location, 1min walk to tube. Room was spotless, excellent services ie, iorn and ironing board, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee ect even shower gel!!!

Bathroom was small but worked for me as a single traveler who only spent one night.

The location is perfect. Less than a few minutes walk from train station and supermarkets and across the street from burger King. Staff were nice, allowed me to check in early. Contact less check in and check out. Area was quiet to me but they provided earbuds, as it's along a busy street. Lovely yard and garden with benches to relax. I would definitely stay again

This hotel is located just a 1-minute walk from Balham tube station. Excellent location. The staff whom I met were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was a good size, well equipped, very very clean, comfortable bed, great shower. No breakfast but, as reception told me, there are places 30 seconds away for breakfast so not an issue. The hotel was obviously well managed, everything was as stated online, better in fact.

This has nothing to do with the hotel per se but I'd recommend people who wake up easily in bright rooms to bring an eye/sleep mask.

I really liked the location, the tube was only a couple of minutes walking distance away and there were lots of bars, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets around. With the tube it didn't take too long to reach central London. I really really liked the interior of the hotel as well, it was very clean, the room was bright and in a good condition. There was enough space for 2 hand luggages. The check in was very easy, we could also check in after the mentioned time. After check out, we were able to leave our bags there. The staff was very friendly.

Quite difficult to understand where to park. Also there could have been more counter space in the room.

Although the building upon entering had all property smells, the room itself was super clean, and fresh. Was very impressed.
