Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLoved everything about it and hope to return.
Felt like stepping back in time. Mixture of vintage and antique furniture with wall tapestries and oil paintings. Well stocked bookcases. Fabulous view across countryside and a four poster bed with a chaise longue to relax on. Tea and coffee available to make at any time and even a fridge and microwave on hand for use. Great fresh bread and home made organic marmalade at breakfast. Rolanda is the perfect host and her home is delightful. Note: If you're wanting to sit around to watch TV this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking for an escape that's truly away from it all then this is it. There's a 'mainish' road not too far away but we couldn't hear any traffic noise - and those street lights that the towns are full of are non-existent here. If you want an idea of how gentlefolk used to live in the country houses of yesteryear, then this is an absolute must. (Whisper it though...)

United KingdomNothing negative to say about this stay.
What a property to stay in this was , steeped in history and not to mention the beautiful surroundings . It was nice not to be distracted by anything just open the window sitting there on a hot summer evening and just listening to and watching the wildlife of which there is much of in that area. This was a last minute booking that exceeded my expectations and for fans of Dylan Thomas and the welsh countryside its a must .also excellent communication from the host too.

United KingdomThe room needed to be aired well before we got there as it was musty. It is an old building with a great deal of old furniture, all beautiful, and old buildings do sometimes have that smell but it was bad in the bedroom and sparked allergies until cleared. We left the window open all the time we were there as it was a lovely temp outside and we like fresh air.
The property is in a very quiet place and quite isolated (you only ever hear quiet traffic if the wind is in the right direction). While there is no TV, there is a very wide collection of books available. Good views from all windows allows you to just sit and watch the wildlife doing their thing (I should have brought binoculars). There is good broadband if required and a small table where you can sit to work. Parking is outside the front doot and you have your own entrance to go in. Breakfast is toast or cereal although Rolanda did supply me with yogurt on request. She is a woman after my own heart, real butter, organic whole milk, fruit conserve and a nice fresh baked sourdough loaf. I am sure if you have any requests she will do her best to accommodate you especially if you let her know before hand. Places to eat in the area are limited as many close early and others are not open on Monday. We can recommend the Chinese in Lampeter, which was very nice. We originally went to the Indian but they were very busy and had a long wait to get food. Both are restaurants so you can eat in but we chose to bring ours back. There are plates and cutlery in the breakfast room for just this purpose. We also ate at The New Celtic Restaurant in Aberaeron and enjoyed the food. They stay open until 8pm every day so if you go, parking is free after 6pm. You can also bring your own food. There is a fridge and microwave in the breakfast room and Lampeter has a decent Sainsbury's. It is open until 9pm but closes at 4pm on Sunday.
