Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhat did we like about our stay? Everything! This was perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for. We came with our 3 year old. The tents are lovely and clean and come with everything you could possibly need. Kettle that you can heat off the in tent fire or on the gas stove provided. Plates, cutlery, mugs, tea, coffee, milk sachets. We brought our own coffee and milk so didn't need to use these. The bed was so incredibly comfortable. It was a little chilly in the evening so we put the fire on in the tent and it heated up the tent quickly and it was lovely and toasty. The tent faces west so you can watch the sunset whilst sat around the bonfire. Wood and fire starters are provided. There is no electric in the tents to charge phones but this wasn't a problem for us. We just charged our phones in our car. There is a shower cubicle which is like a little shed. Very clean with hot water. The water did go hot and cold but this wasn't too much of an issue for me. There is a portaloo on site and a compost toilet. We dodnt use the portaloo, would rather use the compost toilet. Was lovely and clean with directions inside. There is a running tap with soap inside. There is a light inside too for when it gets dark. There is a barn with a bar in it which was great! There are fields all around for a lovely walk. In the orchard there are lots of activities for kids to play which were great. My 3 year old requested for a park, maybe a climbing frame with a slide but he was happy running round and exploring. The owners and the farmer were all very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back next summer.

United KingdomAs above...
The interior of our deluxe tent was lovely with lots of little thoughtful touches. The toilet facilities could have been cleaner- didn't expect immaculate for a campsite but to have to choose between a urine covered loo and a spider covered loo wasn't gr8 us there was no working light inside the loos at night- other than that a lovely stay and I would stay again.

United KingdomIt was in an amazing location. The hosts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. The tent we stayed in was clean and the bed was so comfortable, we had a fire pit, bbq and Pizza oven. It comes with bedding, cooking utensils., cutlery tea, coffee, cups and wine glasses. As it was our anniversary we were treated to Prosecco which was a lovey touch. It was so peaceful and an amazing place if you want to switch off sit and watch the world go by. It’s a short walk to Redbourn which has a lovely pub, and shops.

United KingdomWhen we arrived we were so content as it is exactly what we needed, a beautiful rugged location with a lovely sunset, peaceful and simple with a warm welcome from the hosts- who extended their kindness in many ways throughout the night- not being regular campers! It's a great hiking location with an Orchard tree area that is lovely and cool to wind down in. A night with the stars, a firepit, BBQ and good company is all you need. The tents are spacious and beautifully themed with great sentiment. We will definitely be coming back for a cuppa and a bit of peace and quiet in the near future. Thank you for your hospitality!

United KingdomIf there were showers it would mean longer stays would be possible, compost toilets are not for the faint of heart
Very well thought out and beautiful set up. Sunset views, log burner and everything you need to use it, comfortable bed, and lights. Very peaceful environment and exactly what I needed an easy break from London.

United KingdomWe didn’t realise there was no electricity or showers until we spoke to the management. This was fine but would’ve liked it to have been made clear in the listing.
We came with our little dog, and it was perfect for her to run around and have fun. Really beautiful campsite.

United KingdomSat nav took us to the wrong entrance. Signage and directions at both entrances will advertise and manage first impressions for them.
Nice views, spacious tents which were new. Nice helpful hosts who were helpful, despite our very late arrival at nearly midnight (motorway closure). They were on the end of the phone. .
