Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesVery costly for a one room stay. We stayed in cottages with a number of rooms and paid less than this. I just could not find another place. With four beds it is not surprising that we felt crowded. The decorations were very kitschy and were so extensive they made the room seen small. We were on top of each other.
The bathroom was really nice. The shower was easy access. The beds were ok and the linens were great. It was easy to find in the dark. We arrived late and got in without a problem. It is a good place to stay to explore lower Skye and we had a great time. We found food and drink very close by. There were a fridge and microwave which was nice. The location on the water with nice little trails was great for the kids.

ItalyGravel on parking lot was hectic for the car. For some reason I was expecting a shared kitchen available, which was not there - but might have misread the description :)
Nice to have the little refrigerator available. Easy check in!

United StatesWe happened to travel during a heat wave and while it got cool at night we couldn’t open windows due to midget and bugs. There was only one fan in the room, and it was a struggle to sleep in the heat.
Nice space for a family to stay. Close to town. Nice view. Visiting Isle of Skye was phenomenal.

United KingdomThere is clearly work being done to the building but the room was fine, it did not detract from our stay.
It was in a great location The room was well appointed and comfortable with a wonderful view over the bay. It was useful having the mini fridge and microwave. The owner Khalid could not have been more helpful and friendly. The porch was lovely to sit in in the evening

United StatesThe sheets and duvet were polyester which meant the sheets become hot and uncomfortable, the upstairs neighbors were noisy, one of the bathroom rubbish bins had not been emptied in between guests. The conditioner container in the shower has shampoo in it.
The walk along the seaside was nice. The morning we checked out several of the guests including us got locked inside the building as another set of guests locked the porch door from the outside. We had to remove the arm chair that was positioned in front of the fire escape and try to unlock the door, and then climb outside, get the key out of the lockbox ( which we had been instructed to return the key) and unlock the door. Then when we left I could not relick the porch door. The key wouldn't turn.

CanadaMaybe just a bit more hot water in the shower.
Beautiful decor. Sparkling clean. Excellent location for a nice walk to town. Town was perfect with the centre shops & grocery store was open until 10. Very comfy rooms with quaint decor and beautiful views to the sea. Great parking and it felt very secure. Loved that it had tea, coffee with brown sugar and milk packets.

United KingdomI rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was genuinely frustrating — especially for the price of $700 per night. First, the exit sign inside the room was brightly lit all night long. It was impossible to sleep with that kind of light shining directly into the room — no option to dim or block it. Honestly, I’ve never experienced anything like it. Despite what was promised, there was no WiFi or TV available, which made the stay even more inconvenient. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear every word, movement, and noise from neighboring rooms — not exactly the restful experience we were expecting. The bedding was incredibly low quality, thin and uncomfortable, not at all what you’d expect from a room at this price point. All in all, this felt like a budget motel experience disguised as a luxury stay. Definitely not worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend it.

United KingdomWe were surprised to find that the two twin beds and the full-size bed were all located in a single room, which wasn’t clearly stated in the listing. It’s very rare — and frankly beyond common sense — to have three beds crammed into one room for four adults. While the space appears newly renovated, there was sawdust throughout, suggesting it hadn’t been properly cleaned. There was also no Wi-Fi available, which added to the inconvenience. At £475 for one night, this did not feel like good value for money.

CanadaIt got very very hot on the upper floor. Daytime highs were 16-18 degrees, and we kept the windows open when we could but without AC, window screens, or an overhead fan it was very difficult to cool the room without letting in the midges. We were awake most of the night and the other guests were loud.
The location is beautiful, close to the local bus stop and a co-op for groceries. The building is very new or newly renovated. Clean and tidy inside and friendly owners/ staff.
