One of our rooms was located under the roof with slanted ceilings and a very tiny bathroom located in a closet. The shower was very small with low waterpressure and inconsistent water temperature. Written instructions on how to turn on the shower would have been appreciated, especially since there was not staff on location. We made it work, but it would be helpful if the room description on the homepage would list the small shower, slanted ceilings and the small, narrow stairs up to the room. Any person with mobility issues and /or larger luggage would find this room challenging.

Great location with easy walk into town, to ferries and to trainstation. Clean and nice sized room with comfortable bed/pillows, tray with coffee/tea/biscuits and two water bottles provided. Sitting room with travel books and other reading material on location.

No hair conditioner. It’s hard to pack items like this when you’re traveling by air and providing a small bottle in the room would have been greatly appreciated.

The fan provided in the room was very helpful since the evening as hot. Access to the building was smooth and parking was a bonus.

Located approximately 100mtrs up a hill at the back of town, it's less suitable for anyone without transport and only has off road parking for three cars. A small gripe, but the mirror above the sink was fitted at such a height that anyone 5 foot tall or less would barely reach it and ideally needs moving down a bit.

Immaculately clean and well present, with everything needed being provided. Nice, quiet room with a very comfortable bed. We hadn't received the email with the door entry code, but a quick phone call to the owners sorted that out immediately.

Listed free parking but there are only 3 spaces, parking works on a first come first served basis. Possible to park on the street but it is mostly occupied. The route to the accommodation leads through narrow streets where it is difficult to avoid oncoming cars. We were lucky enough to be able to use the parking at the accommodation.

Due to the nature of self-check-in and no breakfast provided, there is little or no interaction with staff or other guests, so it lacks the opportunity of chatting with fellow travellers (unless they specifically use the lounge too). My single room was a bit tight for space - not that there's much which could be done about this. The shower room could do with a bit of smartening up - it wasn't bad, could just do with some edges finished a bit better.

Easy to find, quiet location, clear instructions on entry, very obliging staff (allowed me to drop off my case before checking in and leave it after checking out, freeing me to explore Oban unladen), use of an elegant guest lounge, fridge for guests' use. Lovely hall and staircase with soft carpet.

Only downside is the steep hills and the narrow staircases in case you have large luggage, but this is true of Oban more than this place specifically

Conveniently located a short walk from the bus, train, and ferry and several good shops and restaurants. Self check in was easy and the room was clean and cozy.

The only thing that I felt that the single room needed was somewhere to put phone, drink etc by the bed. I improvised using my case, but maybe a wee shelf attached to the wall would be a good use of space. Parking is a bit tricky. There are three private spaces as well as on road parking, but getting into any space if cars are already parked is a bit awkward, especially if you don't want to reverse onto the road. One thing to be aware of is that, although Google maps tells you that it is a 10 min walk into Oban town centre, the premises is up a very steep hill (great views are a bonus though), so it is a real slog on the way back.

The hosts are explicit that the single room is small, which it is, However, it is a great example of fitting nearly everything required (see below for one suggestion to improve it) into a tiny wee space. Overall a very comfortable stay in immaculately clean room.

In decorating, it has been said that 'God is in the details.' As this is true, visiting Glenroy is a religious experience. Every detail was seen to. The rooms are tastefully decorated and modern in style. The property is on a side street overlooking the beautiful bay. It is a quiet and discreet location.
