No lifts. We had to drag our heavy suitcases quite a way up some stairs, then down and down, my poor hubby. Hindsight is a great thing, should have repacked into smaller bags. Learned the hard way. No air con, it appeared that heating was on in the hallways. This was during hot summer so I found it uncomfortable. At least there was a fan which was a godsend.

    Great location, good parking

The food was really good, the beef Wellington was really good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and provided really good service. Did not use the pool but the gym had lots of equipment to use. Good location, and great value, would stay again.

Felt like a better equipped Travelodge. Poor cleanliness - room had cobwebs/dead insects around window, carpet not clean (hadn’t been vacuumed) and corridor carpet had mud and grass. Charge for car park was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise.

Good facilities with pool and restaurant.

Bed most uncomfortable bed ever . Personally l never get back pain but this bed was excruciating. Not the cleanest either ( must say manager did come and put right) Breakfast ( don’t pay when you book £3 cheaper at hotel) Also book once and see if you like , very basic for a hotel and kitchen couldn’t cope when busy. And don’t mention the toaster !! (useless) Car park charged as extra , do understand if hotel is in city centre but this is 15 minutes drive out Ripoff Remember this is a dog friendly hotel so don’t go if you suffer from allergies.

Leisure centre very good as included in room price

There wasn't much round the hotel,eg restaurants, pubs etc.Window was dirty and net curtain could have done with a wash. The morning receptionist was abit unresponsive and unknowledgable about parking and parking machine, which is extra. But I only booked the one night.

    The price. Comfortable bed.

Booking details did not mention the car parking charge for residents. Had a left hand wall side bed which did not suit me as a right hand sleeper. Drinks were rather expensive even for a hotel

The website portrays the 'spa' as being a little more special than what it is in real life. We booked a later check-out time on one of our rooms so that we could come back to it after using the 'spa'. Disappointed to find an exercise class already taking part in the main pool. Came out of the 'spa' after 30 minutes, therefore, didn't need the late check out. Requested a refund on it ,which they were happy to oblige. You have to pay parking. If you stay longer than check-out time to use the facilities, you have to pay more parking, even if you pay the £20 late check-out,, parking is charged on this as well. Bar food was nice but expensive for what it is, basic food.

The room was decent and comfy beds. The staff were helpful. Lady behind bar (glasses on) was nice and friendly. Breakfast was standard.

Having to pay for parking. This is a hotel, where else am I supposed to park?! Not good. There were alot of choices for breakfast, but for a hot breakfast, the sausages were burnt and the bacon was either overcooked, ie: Rock hard, or undercooked, ie: White fat on the bacon.

The room was nice, the bar was nice and the pool was lovely.

Sometimes a long wait at the bar or reception as no staff present. Not being able manage the stairs meant, using a ramp outside the bar/restaurant area and back in the main reception door to access your room. Ok in nice weather but wouldn’t be ideal in the winter.

Comfy beds, very clean, friendly staff.

Children not allowed to use the leisure facilities after 6pm on a Saturday night. This was really disappointing for my 13 year old son. No flexibility shown by staff even after explaining we had been delayed in traffic.

There was a big group of people outside on our window side who were having a party. We couldn't get a decent sleep until the early hours of the morning. This is part of the hotel garden and they shouldn't allow people staying in the hitel to have party in the garden that late.

It was clean, great area and spacious.
