A beautiful house with a fantastic view over the river and the castle. It’s immaculate, well equipped, impressively presented and less than 5 minutes stroll into the town. There was great communication from the owner. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Not a lot... not to like. Only small issues. Bedrooms really warm due to weather, probably needs more fans. (despite windows being open). We arrived late could of done with some milk being there (told you really really small things)

Some of our party are very tall and found the downstairs loo a little too snug, but it's much better to have one than not! It was great to have a travel cot available - a high chair would be a super addition if that was possible.

A beautiful and spacious house, in the most fantastic location, right on the river with a wonderful view of the County Bridge and the Castle. The swivel chairs in the dining room are perfect for enjoying the river flowing by, watching the birds and the mesmerising play of wind and light on the water. It was also the perfect place to watch the hilarious "Not a Boat" race (part of the Barney Meet Whit Weekend celebrations)! We were visiting with our extended family and the sitting room downstairs was also a lovely and very comfortable space to enjoy the evening together.

The living room being on a different level simply because we had brought children. Otherwise not an issue.

The location was fantastic and the views were so beautiful. Loved enjoying my morning cuppa sat in the window overlooking the river and the castle.

Nothing to dislike about the property. If you have accessibility needs it’s probably not a good option as parking is on the road 50/100 yards away.

This is a beautiful house in a great location for Barnard Castle. The views of the river and castle are incredible. Communication with the other was good and the house was very clean.

We booked our stay for a family wedding at Lartington Hall, which was only a 5 minute drive away. The house is really nice, right on the river with lovely views and less then a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the centre of Barnard Castle The house is very well equipped, nice and modern and clean. Great communication from Kate the owner. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again
