    Cheap economy hotel. Close to the City centre. Attentive receptionist

    Room allocated was not ready. Poor furnishings Front of hotel had flashing lights that continued to flash through the blinds into the room all night .

    Staff went above and beyond to have our room ready early for us and was clean and bed was comfy for our stay.

    No breakfast option, vending machine had nothing in, went outside in the morning and saw 3 rats around the streets surrounding the hotel. Location was in a convenient place for us ,but after speaking with locals we were at event they said we were brave to me staying in that area. No decent food places around and as a coeliac person really struggled to eat at the weekend. Would also suggest putting some outside seating on the grass out the front to allow smokers somewhere to go instead of standing at the entrance. It’s a very noisy hotel and we could hear people walking about most of the night. Was it the worst hotel no, was it the best also no and I wouldn’t return unfortunately. It could be a real gem of a place with some love and tlc.

    For the reason we went the location was ideal. Easy well to St James Park

    Got back to the room and it was mind blowingley hot. Window was open but nothing to cool the room down

    The staff are amazing Alice on reception is so helpful and always smiling and always happy to greet you and check that you are ok.

    The location is not too easy to get to maybe it would help by giving the bus numbers as the metro is not very close at all.

    Inability to come and go without buzzing in etc Smell of the room

    It had a car park

    Had to pay £5 a day for parking. Room was like a sauna with little ventilation. Asked to change room as I couldn’t sleep with the heat in the room but they said they were full. Also asked for fan but they said they had given them all to other guests. Could not open windows anymore as they had restrictors. Only way to cool room down was to leave door open to corridor. Room was poorly decorated. Wallpaper looked like it had been put on by a 5 year old. There was no bin in the room. Sliding door to shower room was very stiff. Blinds to windows in room were broken. They only pulled up on one side. I did send them a message but they did not respond. Staff did not even come to room to check.

You had originally booked two twin rooms but chose to have your group stay in one room, which was shown to you at check-in and accepted by you. Due to the warm weather, we provided a fan upon request. The next day, we made several attempts to reach you to offer a room change, including visits to your room and phone calls, but you were unavailable. As you returned late, we couldn’t proceed with the change. Your comments regarding the room do not reflect the condition we maintain—our blinds are brand new, and no issues were reported in person. At check-out, your refund request was declined, after which you threatened to leave a negative review. While we respect all feedback, we feel this review is unfair and does not represent the service and efforts made by our team. Kind regards, Manager

    unfortunately the hotel was not how it was shown in booking.com. The hotel was in a poor condition and I found the staff to be unhelpful.
