Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only criticism we have is that the outdoor seating on the patio needs updating and the tv is small.
Such a wonderful cottage in the north of the Cotswolds. Perfect location in such a beautiful area. Not far from Stratford and Bourton-on-the-Water. Great pub/shops in walking distance. Would definitely come back and recommend stay to others. Great dog-friendly - our dog felt right at home. We loved the little touches (like the welcome sign and snacks for both us and the dog) - we didn’t want to leave!

United KingdomFusty smell downstairs in the bedroom either from the adjoining bathroom or, most likely, from the number of dogs staying here. Not suitable for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs.
Good location with private car parking next to the entrance. Light and airy living space upstairs with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. All facilities provided.

United KingdomShower head can’t move and you have to kinda wash your hair even if you don’t want to but otherwise everything is great!
Excellent quiet location, very cozy and cute, loved the upstairs bit with the kitchen and big windows! Has everything you’d want, also cute touches like milk in the fridge.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything I needed. It was a very nice touch leaving coffee, seasonings, milk and a treat available ... and a noticeboard saying welcome. The village was a interesting to walk around and there is a local Morrison's for anything needed. No issues finding the place or with car parking. I would definitely return.

United KingdomPlease make sure you have the keys with you when decide to relax in the front garden. The entrance door can be easily locked by latch. As there is no lock handle you'll have to use keys to open it.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage at the end of April. The kitchen was well equipped and we found everything we needed to cook a simple meal. Comfortable sofa in the living room. Good shower facilities. Landlords are always happy to help. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage and a getaway in the stunning location.

United KingdomYou need a shower cap if you don’t want wet hair. Lovely shower, but you have to get everything wet. Not a negative comment, just so people bring a cap and can enjoy 😊
Very cosy.warm, comfortable. Everything you could possibly need. Two lovely pubs nearby you can walk to easily. We had a lovely roast in one. Shop in walking distance too.

United KingdomPersonally, I didn’t find the bed very comfortable - we have a king size at home - and the mattress was a bit soft. Having said that, my husband thought it was very comfortable!!
It was lovely having a whole cottage to ourselves, and so much nicer than a hotel room. It was warm and clean. It’s just round the corner from our son and family (who moved to Mickleton in April 2024). And the village is lovely.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like but a few broken paving slabs in courtyard which could be a trip hazard especially in the dark and couldn’t work out how the courtyard lights worked so had to rely on a torch, however we did love it here and only raised these points as questionnaire asked us too.
Very quaint lovely little property Dog friendly with a secure courtyard garden, nicely presented, lovely Gastro pub 2 mins walk and a mini supermarket in walking distance
