Great dog-friendly stay with lovely staff and pool, though Wi-Fi and parking need improvement.

The bath in the room did not seal properly, so it would drain before it got full, so I had to seal it with a face cloth. WIFI was very weak and needs to be improved No bins outside the premises, and considering dogs are allowed, it would be nice to have a bin near the yard to dispose of dog waste The parking bays are extremely tight, so much so that you can barely climb out of the car once parked.

The room and the fact that the dog was allowed. The room was a nice size, and the children loved having their own room with their own TV. The pool was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The garden out the rear of the building was a great place to take the dog.

The hotel is going through a full upgrade with a focus on room first. Look forward to seeing what they do to the rest of the hotel and facilities. I hope they don’t cut investment on some of the original features.

Superb location, friendly staff, dog friendly and good breakfast. Our room was fresh and new. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Overall it represented good value for money.

The breakfast food run out, no tea, coffee, orange juice, cakes, bread for toast and all English breakfast hot food containers empty. Staff tried to replenish but not everything was replenished and there was a considerable Waiting time. This didn’t impact our stay, we put it down to the Hotel only recently reopened so ‘teething’ problems as breakfast was catered for, for the amount of guests staying at the hotel.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was beautiful, very clean and spacious.

When we booked there was photos of an outside pool however Upon arrival this was empty and pool Area looked derelict. The building itself is dated and needs a little TLC. Breakfast on our last morning seemed to be heated up left overs from the day before which was a shame. The bar wasn’t open so no way of getting a drink through the day or evening. We paid £306 for 3 nights which was over priced

Very friendly staff , buffet breakfast was nice on 2 mornings of our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was perfect

Hotel was a little dated and needs freshening up but it is a very old building. Shame the bar isn't open. I wasn't pre warned. I only knew from seeing other reviews.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Both receptionists we spoke to were lovely. 2 bedroom family room was excellent for us a group of friends. Good breakfast with lots of choice of continental and cooked. Prebooked parking was excellent. Good location with just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront. Only stayed 1 night, so we didn't try the pool.

The property feels really old, the floor cracks a lot when you move and the door needed a lot of work to open and close it. The lock was a bit broken so it took us a while to open our room everyday. We told the staff to help us but nothing much was done, we had to deal with it. The pool are was not really well maintained, but overall it was decent.

    As above.

It was a poor start with the room we were given and we had booked a few months before. We have a 2 year old and two month old and they put us on the second floor with no lift and it was a good walk to the stairs. But the manager sorted us right out, almost straight away and gave us a lovely room near the front door so access was quick and easy .

The pool and bar were closed during our stay.

Our room was freshly painted with a newish bathroom suite. We had a family room and the kids had their own separate alcove which was nice. We thought breakfast was good, very nice hash browns! Convenient location just a few steps from the seafront.

Was surprised no bar facilities for hotel of this size, told awaiting their license which considering it was middle of August seemed strange.

Great Location and Friendly Staff, Some Room Comfort Issues
    • Leisure trip

Parking is very limited and must be booked in advance. There’s no lift to the third floor, which can be difficult for guests with mobility or invisible disabilities. The room could benefit from an air conditioner, it was very hot at night, and opening the windows let in road noise, making sleep challenging. The television felt small for the size of the room, though this may not matter to everyone. Continental breakfast had very few items, really need a good rethink.

The location is excellent for the seaside and local amenities, with everything easily accessible on foot. The family room was spacious and well-equipped. The cooked breakfast was very good, and the coffee was enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful, even directing me to a free parking area nearby.
