Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere is a steep flight of steps from the gate down to the front door, which is awkward when carrying luggage. Also, the parking space is a two minute walk away which is a bit of a pain on arrival and departure when you need to make multiple trips to the car. However, completely understand that there is nothing that can be done about it so only a minor irritation. Would be helpful to have a shelf below the mirror in the bathroom to put toothbrushes, etc and the bath towels were a little small.
The location was great, a very short walk to the harbour with plenty of excellent eateries (although a steep climb back up to the house!). The house was really lovely, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. The weather was changeable whilst we were there but we were able to sit out on a couple of occasions, which was very nice as the rear garden is a real sun trap. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was very good. We would happily return.

United KingdomThe only thing that let it down was the weather...but that can't be helped! The access to the cottage from the road is down steep steps which the gate opens straight onto. We were warned about this though by the agency who manage the property.
Perfect location and beautifully furnished. Everything you need is there.

GermanyBeautiful cottage! Great location only a few steps from the port and centre of Port Isaac with its shops and restaurants, a private parking space is located a few steps from the cottage and there is a coop shop nearby. The cottage has recently been renovated, everything is very nice, comfortable and clean. It is extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen, and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. I loved that there were about 12 pieces of everything (plates, cutlery, etc) so that you don't constantly need to clean up after yourself. The dishwasher and washing machine were also a big plus when travelling with small children. We loved our stay in Port Isaac and exploring the area. Next time we are in Cornwell, we would definitely stay here again!

United KingdomThe pillows were a bit thick, for us. The tv was in German, the previous visitors had added their account and we were unable to reset it. But everything else was great
Very friendly helpful lady gave us keys and showed us the parking space and property

IrelandThere was nothing not to like.
We loved this cute cottage. They thought of everything. Great location, chipper and ice cream around the corner. Co-op shop at top of the hill. Short walk to lovely shops and restaurants. The cottage is beautiful and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Lovely welcome pack and milk in the fridge. It's a lovely place to come back to relax after touring around. Park space very close, less than a minute walk. We'll be back. Ps: for Doc Martin fans, back garden looks onto the Docs house which was a bonus.
