The breakfast was very good and value for the money. The location was OK for what it for.The staff was very friendly. If I knew it done meals I would have booked. Would stop again.

It may be helpful to have some instructions on how to work the TV. Great choice of channels but experienced a lot of 'buffering' and disruption when trying to watch it.

The room was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The food was very reasonably priced, cooked fresh when ordered and arrived at the table hot and nicely presented. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Made to feel very welcome on arrival.

WiFi was a little patchy but useable. It is a pub, so there can be some noise into the night.

Incredible food, lovely staff, exceptional value for money. Location was perfect for me as I could walk to where I was working, but that might not be so relevant to others.

No milk in my room for tea and coffee my brother gave me some of his from the other room the shower wasn’t the best either

Wonderful hosts, Super staff who couldnt be more welcoming and helpful, an axcellent breakfast option, just wish I had more time to finish the substantial meal and more time to enjoy it. A lovely place tucked just off the main drag contrasting immediately into a small village & traditional local Inn experience. When further trips are in the offing to this region, this will be my goal destination.

The room was a good size and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Nice soft big towels in the room. Water provided and tea making facilities were also good. The staff were incredible. The lady who showed me to my room went above and beyond. Turned the heater on to make it cosy and got me a plug for my phone charger as i forgot mine, which i really appreciated. Lovely stay, was slightly noisy during the night but would definitely return. Slept well.

Hot tap on basin in the bathroom was loose needs some attention, lot of noise from the music downstairs in the room.

Second night a bit noisy...probably other guests and not really the fault of the accommodation. However, it did result in a broken night's sleep. Also, there didn't appear to be a smoke alarm in the room. Beverage tray was not refreshed for the second night.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was fab. Fresh cooked and tasty. Facilities were basic, as expected, for the price, however very clean and comfortable.

For what it was, I thought it was a little overpriced. They gave us a key to come in the side door so we didn't have to go through the bar, which was fine. But when you opened the door, the smell of damp hit you straight away . The entrance wasn't clean, and the stairscase was in desperate need of a paint . There was no smoke alarm and all the electric items in the room weren't Pat Tested which was a little but of a worry

I have family who live in Marske and Guisborough, so it's an ideal location. 15 minutes each each way. Nice pub and super friendly staff. Pretty village location. Will book again in the future.

Shower was cold no matter what we done to it.

The toilet in the private bathroom had dried faeces on the back of the pan. The hot tap was loose and the shelf above the hand basin could have been higher, it made using the basin a little awkward. There was nowhere in the shower to put anything but a bar of soap and the cubicle by necessity was very small. Having said this the room was adequate for a short stay and the staff more than made up for any shortcomings in the accommodation. I did find it noisy with people walking around above and beside me, music playing in the bar and voices carried throughout the building.

I had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. The portions were generous, the service was prompt and the food was well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. My room was comfortable and mostly clean.

The team have only recently taken over the pub so some things are still being worked on but they are all so friendly, welcoming and working very hard for guests. The breakfast (only £9 for a full English) was excellent.
