Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom was a little dated and the carpet had not been hoovered between guests as there was biscuit crumbs and other bits on the floor when we arrived. Apart from that it was a good break.
Convenient location as only a 5-10 minute walk into the town centre. Pool and gym were good.

United KingdomDrinks at the bar are a tad expensive. £10 for 2 bottles of beer and £17 for 2 cocktails... other than that, it's great!
I absolutely love the downstairs spa area, which is why we booked to go again. So relaxing with pool, sauna, jacuzzi, aromatherapy room, relaxation room, and £15pp for the spa for your stay if under 2 nights, but it is so worth it to unwind. And £5pp for a robe if you want to walk around and not worry about changing. Nice having a checkout at 11am too giving you more time in the mornings. The outdoor area is lovely to sit in the sun with food/drinks. The breakfast is also yummy - buffet style full English and continental, so make sure to add breakfast. 10 min walk from shops, restaurants and town centre, around 20 min walk to beach and amusements. Helpful and friendly staff, they even looked after our luggage whilst we ventured into town. Highly recommend for one or two nights - great facilities and nice modern decor downstairs. Rooms are clean and spacious. We went superior this time for the big bed and rainfall shower. Would go back a third time. It has our hearts.

PolandThe family room we got (called "superior"!) was in fact a double room with two additional beds packed inside - they took all the free space and made the room uncomfortable. Bathroom in poor condition (e.g. door, toilet flush). No room service during 5 days of our stay!
Great location, decent price, nice and friendly staff, tasty (English) breakfast, the access to swimming pool, well-equipped bar.

United KingdomThe breakfast was OK, definitely could be better. Although we parked next to the hotel there was lots of broken glass on the floor so not sure how safe it would be to leave your car over night. When we went swimming it was lucky that there was only one other family using the pool otherwise there wouldn’t have been much space as the pool isn’t huge and the room is so hot, we used it on a cloudy evening, I’d imagine it would be unbearable on a hot sunny day.
Superior family room was spacious, we had a double bed, sofa bed for our teen and an extra single bed for our younger son. It also had aircon but we didn’t need to use it. The location was close to the town centre and Bournemouth beach. Swimming pool was clean, there were lessons going on when we used the pool but half of the pool was still available to swim in. Parking next to the hotel was free on the side road.

United KingdomShower pressure was lacking, but not enough to really complain about.
Very welcoming staff and great Spa, however ever I would like to make a suggestion;- paint clouds or stars on the ceiling to boost decor, also the view of the fire exit from the jacuzzi could be improved with a little thought. Steam room needs to be hotter.

United KingdomUnfortunately I will not be visiting Bournemouth again. It is now not safe, the amount of non British walking around everywhere and covering the beach, leaving rubbish everywhere, parents having to take their children off the beach because of this. Such a shame whats happened to Bournemouth.
The hotel is fine. Slightly dated rooms.

United KingdomOur room did not have a bathroom door as part of the design which was unexpected. The room was also very hot and we had to use a fan all night - which is due to old building during hot summer weather. And I would say one biscoff as a snack offering for the instant nescafe coffee in the room is a bit cheap for the price.
Nice old hotel with some great facilities and good breakfast. Cool leisure pool as well.
