When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

The room was ridiculously hot - provision of a fan would be good Pillows as mentioned but that is personal choice Brown towels in bathroom didn't look great but they were clean so cannot really complain A little tired overall but I would use again for a one night stay for the festival
Location was absolutely perfect for the Hardwick Festival, a short walk across the field with excellent directions provided by reception. Our room was exactly as I expected it to be given the reviews we had read in advance of arrival. A little tired with no frills (randomly there was a fridge but it wasn't plugged in). Water and biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities provided. We received a really warm welcome on arrival, had some fabulous food (chicken parmo the size of my head!) in the pub before checking in, nice space to sit outside with lots of on site free parking. The bed was really comfortable, the pillows not so much but we were only there for one night so it was absolutely fine. The toilets are noisy as described in other reviews but with ear plugs in, I wasn't disturbed at any point by other users. Slight smell of drains at one point but it was only for a short while. Decor could do with a bit of a touch up but it's an old building...... MASSIVE cooked breakfast served along with a small selection of cereal, yogurts and bread for toasting.

A little dated with room a bit musty. Staff so so, bbut not really bothered.
Location. Our room 8 had the shower break down. Plumber not arriving until next day when we will be gone. To their credit the Hotel moved us to a beautiful suite for our last night. Don`t think they had an option as no other rooms free.

Wi-Fi not good but it is 2 floors. No cooked breakfast. Good accommodation in town but nowhere to work in the room, no desk.
Good spot in centre of town, even so, good night's sleep. No food, no kitchen on that night but Italian restaurant next door was good. No WIFI, not great signal. Good shower, comfy bed. Continental style self serve breakfast, basic but well catered for. Room is clean, we laid out, quite spacious.

Disappointed restaurant wasn’t open and had to unplug kettle/fridge/tv plugs to use my own hairdryer. Available socket near mirror would be useful.

This time we could not receive any Internet, tried different codes but no luck. We had a problem with the fire alarm going off at 11pm which continued until 1am. Despite numerous calls to the emergency contact we could not get a answer only a message service. There are no staff at the hotel on a night.
We've stayed here a number of times, ideally situated to visit family.

Breakfast could be slightly earlier, I went down at 7 expecting that breakfast would be on and was told 8am. So I didn’t stay for breakfast as wanted to start my travel home.

This was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel. Every member of staff that we met was helpful and pleasant. We encountered a problem that was not of the hotel’s making, which was responded to very promptly and fully. Very good breakfast which was served with a smile. Definitely would like to return to explore the area more.

One of the rooms for one of my colleagues had a leak through the ceiling - Room 2 They were transferred to another room - Room 6, which had a foul smell. This was acknowledged by the cleaners - we suspected the saniflo macerator system may be sucking the traps out of bathroom appliances. The seven people I booked in to the rooms allocated, did not get the rooms allocated by me - as there was a financial implication.for allocating individual rooms. Embarrassing for me. No one on duty at reception when we left.
Good beer in the bar when it was open - unfortunately for the time when we would have appreciated it, it was closed

Toilet was very noisy when you flushed it! Bathroom floor was freezing to walk on. The kitchen/ breakfast area didn’t know we had booked breakfast so had all been packed away. We had to order then keep asking for stuff. Wasn’t a Buffett self serve in the end. The food we got was okay.

No staff to ask anything available and the coffee/ milk not refilled so couldn’t have a drink on our last morning, still no staff to talk to

Bedrooms could do with a little tlc painting , door was marked, table had tea/coffee stains. bathroom had mould on shower screen and tiles, ceiling had paint blistering.

The noise of the doors in the morning with house keeping going in and out, noise of the macerator and also housekeeping knocking on door 8:30 when check out is 11.
