We had a queen size bed, one side of the mattress was perfect however the other side was completely concaved and wasn’t comfortable at all

It seemed like the double bed was two single beds pushed together. One mattress was like a hammock with a huge dip in the middle. We couldn't have stayed there another night because of this.There was no spare toilet roll.Also we had to carry 2 suitcases up several flights of stairs.

The room and bathroon were large and clean and had most of the things you needed.

The room smelled of damp, the shaver light above the bathroom sink didn't work, nor did the bathroom extractor (possibly explaining the damp smell throughout). The sockets had no USB sockets. The serious dislike was the large gap at the bottom of the fire door - which renders any protection offered by the door to useless. That needs addressing.

The room was spacious, and the TV worked, along with the WiFi. Town centre location made everything easy to reach. The instructions for entering the property and obtaining the room key were clear and easy to follow.

We knew about the nightclub ( only had it for the 1 night on the Saturday) the Sunday it was closed. It didn't really bother us. But the room was unbelievably hot. We had two fans in the room which we thought was odd and we soon found out why. The window was sealed shut and the fans didn't work at all. We took a snacks for the day and after one night in the overwhelming heat with the fans just blowing warm air I wouldn't entertain opening up the sandwich. The edging around the floor was hot. We had to open the door and place the fans by there just to try and get some air. No good for anyone with health issues. That's the only thing that spoiled the 2 night stay cause we deliberately stayed out the room as long as we could it was way too much. I'd have had the noise from the music 24 hours than the heat and no accessible windows to open Beds were slightly uncomfortable. Spring mattress definitely needs replacing

Shower didn't work very well, did not maintain or hold any water pressure. Flooring was also slippery in the bathroom, even with towels to absorb water.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Unfortunately, the fan was broken and the tv wasn’t well positioned. I wasn’t a fan of the lack of staff, and the interference from the nightclub - unfortunately I wasn’t aware of this, just didn’t realise that it was so loud.

Nobody onsite or contact number to call if there is a problem. Room 10 bed is broken, the base has been put through so no support to the mattress. Noise is a big issue bar /club closed all day then opens later in the evening till 2.30 am. These details are not in the hotel details when booking with Booking. com .

The second door doesn’t lock. The first door was often found unlocked too which doesn’t feel super secure, although it’s Aberystwyth, so hardly a hotbed of crime. Ran out of supplies with no staff around to ask for more. Although to be fair, not a big enough issue for me to email or anything like that, just a little touch that could have improved it. Felt more like an air bnb than a hotel which isn’t quite the vibe I want from a hotel, but I understand the price reflects this.

Nice central location, above a club but we knew that so that doesn’t matter. We were on the top floor anyway so nothing seemed too loud. Check in was clearly explained. Room was clean with towels/tea/coffe etc. Room was quite comfortable, very large which I like and I loved the big window!
