Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe floor was covered with a carpet that was very dusty, tattered and unclean. The door felt very unsafe and the smell was very stuffy. The closet stood on some pieces of wood that were wired looking.
The bed was comfortable, the location was great and the owner allowed us to checkout late. The check in was easy and accessible. The bathroom was clean and spacious.

United KingdomThe only complaint I have to make was the place needs a splash of new paint and a little touch up here and there. But other than that it was great.
The location is perfect, just down the road from Camden high street, directly next to Kokos nightclub. The price for 3 nights was only £344 which is exceptional and so so amazing for London. You had everything you needed in the hotel from cleaning equipment, a bathroom, towels, hair dryer, even a kitchen with everything but an oven but that was no problem at all just make sure you don’t bring something that needs to be in the oven like I did! Whoops! Good location, beautiful building, very cute and homely inside, private parking, tidy, very kind, considerate and patient owners which helped me and overall very good.

United StatesThe place was quite disappointing when it came to comfort. It was very hot and stuffy, with no air conditioning—something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the listing. During the days we stayed, it was 32 degrees in London, which made the lack of AC even more unbearable. The room was small, the restroom had an unpleasant smell, and the common areas (restroom, kitchen, and small living room) were so hot that it was nearly impossible to spend any time there. On top of that, it was super noisy at all times of the day and night, making it hard to relax or sleep. When we first saw the place, we actually wanted to leave because of how disappointing it was. We only stayed because they refused to refund the cost. Overall, definitely not worth it.
I appreciated the location of the B&B — it’s perfectly situated with easy access to great restaurants, public transport, and just a short distance from Camden Town (which does mean it can be quite noisy). City bikes are parked just outside the property, making it very convenient to rent and explore the area.

United KingdomThe room was shabby. It had been cleaned, but there was no disguising its worn out appearance. (See photos) Also, a very unpleasant smell on the top floor (unable to identify) Dining and kitchen area shared by 2 other rooms, which it didn’t mention. Felt like a bedsit.
To be honest we were so disappointed with it that we chose not to stay there. Nothing like advertised. As it was meant to be a treat weekend away, we felt it would completely ruin it. The lady who let us in was lovely though.

BelgiumCan someone tell me why the overall state of properties is in London is so old, unmaintained, and low in hygiene? It is not that difficult nor expensive to provide a basic room with clean and decently installed furniture, locks, floors, shower, etc. Please set an example.
Close to the station, the bedsheets felt clean.

United KingdomThe whole experience was very disappointing given the price. The room itself was solidly OK - the bed was decent, and the bathroom did the job. The floor was so uneven that the fridge looked about to fall over, and the the tray for coffee/tea was taped to the top of the fridge to stop it sliding onto the floor. The locks felt distinctly untrustworthy, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving anything in the room. However, the main issues were the lack of WiFi and the noise. I was provided with WiFi details, but the WiFi was clearly broadcast from several floors below, and didn't reach to the top floor at all. When I arrived, there was a washing machine going full tilt right outside my door, and that was running into the small hours of the morning. On the second night, someone had burned food, and the entire place stank of smoke and burnt food (they continued to cook and run the washing machine into the small hours that night as well). In addition, trains running underneath the building made the whole place rumble and shake every five minutes.
Well located, around 15 mins walk from Euston station, and a similar distance from St Pancras. Room was fairly clean, and the bed was comfortable.
