Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy bed sheets and pillow had hair on them and they smelled like aftershave, I have no idea if they’ve even washed and change them before giving me the room. There was loud music playing in the room opposite to mine the whole night, it was a bit annoying but I managed to sleep for a good amount of time. My door couldn’t be locked from the outside, so once I leave my stuff were completely unsafe. I didn’t really like the smell of the whole place, there was also the same smell in my room when I went in but luckily it all went out after opening the window.
Very nice location for the waterfall walk. My room looked reasonably clean and tidy. It’s (marginally) alright for the price. They have a cold water dispenser in the communal area which is nice.

Very cheap. Friendly people who work/live there. Good location. Nice reception room. Clean toilets. Unique not polished village experience :)

United KingdomMouldy cups and cutlery. No bins. No proper signage. Carpet in the room needs cleaning or better yet replacing. No soundproofing. Dog poop all over the grassy area. Late-night disturbance from loud banging next door (they decided to fix a broken door at 8 pm). The room/the whole place is somewhat tidy but definitely needs deep cleaning. It was dirty and smelly to the point that our allergies got bad and we had to leave early the following morning. I tried calling the phone number of the person in charge around 7:30 to let them know we are checking out early, but no response. I even sent a message but no reply either.
The whole place itself is in need of massive love and care. The concept is really nice, spiritual etc, and even the location is not so bad.

United KingdomThe rooms do not have nearly enough power plugs for charging equipment like phones, drones, action cam for all the guests. I had to plug my phone into the main shared guest area. Considering the quality of the place, and the cleanliness, I do think it is overpriced.
It was located in a nice area, near the hiking routes we were aiming to do. There's a large carpark, and the place itself is set back far from the road, so it's very quiet.

United KingdomThis place is a budget accommodation which is great for people who want to travel without the expense, however the only thing that I would say needs improving is the cleaning
The location of this place is great, it's close to loads of waterfalls and the shops and restaurants are just a 10 minute drive away, host's are trying their best to accommodate everyone and were always pleasant and helpful

United KingdomNo-one there when we arrived, so had to phone to find out which rooms we were in. No clean crockery or cutlery for making a drink and nowhere to wash up things from the kitchen. The manager had been away, so maybe clean things are normally supplied. And we could not find a rubbish bin, so there was a pile of rubbish on a lounge table. The microwave needed a good clean as did the rest of the drinks area.
Good location for our walking in the area. Manager was very willing to supply what we wanted, but a pity we needed to ask for things that would normally be provided. The lounge had a kettle, filtered water, tea, coffee and a microwave.

United KingdomBedding was not clean and had not been changed. Whole room smelt of old cigarette smoke. No heating as was broken so room was very cold and damp. The room and whole site was very dirty. Tried speaking to staff about issues but was brushed off with many excuses. We saw rats running around in the communal area and there was dog mess everywhere!

United KingdomThe communal facilities let down the venue. One set of toilets were out of order (I don't think this is a recent problem). The other set lacked any toilet paper and some of the sinks had equipment stored in them rather than than being stored more appropriately. The kitchen did have a kettle but many of the beverages needed to be renewed. The container for these was full of used items and there were some old tea bags welded to the table. This is budget accommodation and I understand that. However, if the issues with the communal facilities were addressed (which could be done without much expense) a much better impression would be made and reviews given more positive.
The room was clean and comfortable. The member of stafff who greeted me was friendly and helpful

United KingdomThe location was great..we arrived 20 mins before our arranged book in time, but 40 mins after check-in time. The guy said he wasn't expecting us but showed us straight to a room facing into the main car park, right by the main entrance door. The room was as functional as it could possibly be, but with no luxury. The lino floor was filthy-definitely not been mopped in a good while! There were no facilities in the room, over than a kettle and the passable en-suite. However, the lounge area was nice enough to hang out in-although we were told there was no wood so we can't have a fire. Luckily, we were able to scavenge our own wood from the grounds and managed to get a cosy blaze going. Overall, a decent enough place for a basic stay-but nowhere near worth £40 p/night!!! Also, there are clearly people living long term in the adjacent and opposite rooms-not an issue until they wake you up 07:30 (when you're on holiday and trying to sleep!) by shouting at their dogs and leaving for work...it's not a holiday/relax vibe, but a working hostel.. I wouldn't have any issue if it wasn't so expensive for what it is.
The location was great, and the atmosphere was super relaxed.

United KingdomI had read the bad reviews so came with low expectations but had hoped with recent reviews improving that it wouldn't be that bad. The hotel is very loud and the communal areas are dirty. Although the place is old, it is definitely showing that age. The weird religious iconography everywhere doesn't help give a good impression either and is definitely an acquired taste. There seems to be quests living permanently at the property and they have taken over the communal area. I was awoken in the middle of the night by kids screaming and running up and down the corridor. I left after 1 night despite booking 2.
The room as warm and clean. The location is great and has great access to the national park.
