Comfortable, cosy and very informative welcome to a Bothy in a stunning location

Everything was great - exactly what we had expected, so no nasty surprises. The host was very easy to communicate with via the Booking app and even made us some scones on arrival

If you like the concept of 'small homes' then this will appeal - it has everything you need and nothing you don't. Great location with stunning views, particularly later in the day. Lovely fire pit, so you don't need to feel cramped trying to stay inside the cabin. Everything worked great - I think it was pretty new when we stayed. All up - a great experience

Nothing! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer to enjoy the bothy more.

The Bothy is a little hidden gem. The view is lovely no matter the weather and the grounds it sits in is well kept with a quiet surroundings. The location is not a far drive from the Stornoway ferry terminal and not difficult to find (follow the instructions given or google). The bothy had absolutely everything we needed for our short stay and more. We have stayed in a few places around the world and the amount of utilities for self catering at the Bothy was definitely one of the best. And a little of all the basics such as Fairy liquid, oil, a sponge toilet paper everything. Very much appreciated having those provided. The bothy was spotless and comfy. Additionally, all the facilities worked and were easy to operate. The heating facilities provided worked well. It has its own parking which is a good size and convenient. We would say the Bothy provided really useful information email, so we recommend to use this. And agree to book restaurants in advance. We wish we had longer to be able to use the firepit.

There wasn't anything I disliked. It was perfect.

The Bothy was comfortable, clean and had amazing views. Suzanne, the host, was super helpful - went above and beyond with information about places to see and things to do. Nothing was too much trouble!

Everything was perfect. Beyond expectations. Homely, comfortable and private. The bed sheets were the softest ever! The view was stunning. Could really relax at any time of the day. Ideal base for exploring Lewis and Harris.

Despite looking exactly like its photos, it turns out to be more cramped than expected. Especially with the sofa bed out, there is little room to manoeuvre. Did not appreciate needing to put the linen over the stained pillows and duvet for the sofa bed. Although it was well stocked, the lack of storage meant things were jumbled together under the sink. An invoice/receipt was promised but never materialised.

This place has tons of cute appeal. It has a great view over Stornoway and the surrounding countryside. Came with biscuits and other niceties. An outside fireplace was another attraction. It has everything you need. All in all, we enjoyed the stay.

Electrical cooker touch controls were very difficult to operate without instructions. Sofa bed was difficult to open and no signs of blankets. Having to empty bins on leaving.

Location is outside main town but ok if one has a car.
