How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Railing at front door prevents front door from being secured in the open position (useful when carrying cases / luggage etc.)

Caravan was very high Spec immaculately clean , very well equipped Excellent quality bedlinen comfy beds .Welcome pack Including bottle of wine . Panoramic Seaview. Parking outside Caravan . We did not use swimming pool or restaurant but the both looked like excellent facilities.Would definitely book again .

Verified reviewLovely location spotlessly clean and modern caravan.Lovely welcome pack with a much appreciated bottle of wine.Great pool clean and well maintained.Ate at the on site restaurant top class food and most accommodating host. The view of the bay would be hard to beat from any other location.
Due to the heat wave at the time of our break the heat in the van was unbearable during the day something the fan couldn't cope with.Air conditioning a must if we experience future summers as we experienced. The pop up bed had no linen when asking in reception for linen we were told a charge of £15.00 would be incurred ,found that rather petty.

We are sorry that you were not happy with the heat of a caravan and the fan was not sufficient, had you popped to reception and asked we would have at least given you another fan to use. If you ask for one of our lodges c13 does indeed have aircon along with a hot tub and additional linen at no extra cost, however costed accordingly. We do charge for our linen and it is in the costings of your holiday with the bedrooms so if you do need to use the pull out sofa bed that linen is not provided for which we do message on booking informing you that if you are going to be using the pull out bed you will need to bring your own bedding or rent from reception. Verified reviewThe location of the site is absolutely beautiful – all the caravans are positioned on a mountain slope, offering stunning sea views, which we really appreciated throughout our stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights for our family was the swimming pool – having unlimited access at any time was a huge plus, especially for the kids who enjoyed it every day.
It seems the price reflects the location rather than the quality of the accommodation. The number of utensils provided were bare minimum (for family of 5) which meant the washed dishes were not able to dry between the meals.

Verified reviewNice quiet family site no kids entertainment or even music but has a lovely restaurant with a terrace overlooking pool and sea view. Very dog friendly. must book in advance for restaurant! You can access sunny sands arcades and entertainment for free and only down the road.Our caravan had a lovely view but no patio area like some of the others. Pool is heated. Very clean. Staff are lovely and friendly this is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we would stay again its just very expensive we paid £950 for 5 nights in a silver caravan if you get good weather its worth it . Spar shop nearby has a very decent butchers inside 👌

Verified reviewThe caravan site is lovely and has great views over Barmouth. We have stayed here a number of times over the last couple of years. You can walk into barmouth from the site.
The lodge we were in was nice, but it wasn't one of the nicer ones, if I'm being honest. On 1 side, the windows are blocked by a wall. The hot tub lid was broken and too heavy to lift, but this was addressed by the staff, and they changed this over quickly, so that was good. The restaurant seems to have had a change and isn't as good as it used to be. It has now gone more towards tapas....which is lovely if that's what you're after, but it was nowhere near as busy as it used to be, and main meal options were limited.
