Breakfast options were outstanding and the service was friendly and prompt and personal. The Breakfast room offered great views and we felt very relaxed chatting with other guests which hostess Jackie facilitated.

Location is what I expected. Close to main tourist attractions and equally peaceful and quiet. With many walks on the door step. Perfect 😃👍 Jackie is an excellent hostess, I was very much looked after. She is literally one of the nicest people I've ever met. Her warm personality, knowledge about locals and friendliness is absolutely amazing 😁 The room, breakfast and other little touches like delicious cakes, cosmetics produced locally deserve 5 stars. The view from the room I was staying in was spectacular. I definitely would stay there again. Best place in Lake District 👍😁

Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful property. Stunning location, with views that we couldn’t beleive. The rooms were perfect and the beds so comfortable, with premium bedding. The best sleeps I’ve ever had whilst being away. Excellent facilities and so clean. The property js situated in a fantastic location, walking distance to nearby pubs and a tea room. It is also a short drive to several nearby villages, you can also get to these via accessibly walking routes from the property. Housekeeping was fantastic and it felt so homely coming back to after a long day out. Jackie was so friendly and hospitable and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. Would recommend to all.

Beautiful location with superb walks right from the B&B. I lI had a beautiful room with big windows looking out over extraordinary views of mountains, and fields full of spring lambs. very comfortable bed, everything clean and fresh, great quality bed linen. Jackie the host was exceptional. Every detail was thought of, superb breakfasts, home made cakes and cookies, a wealth of knowledge about the Lake District simply a delight.

Actually there is nothing we can think about that we did not like

Actually we liked everything about our stay. High Fold Guesthouse is located in a particularly nice spot in Troutbeck with wonderful views. Service and support from the owner is absolutely great and last but not least a delicious breakfast is served every morning. We will certainly go again.

The view was sublime! The bed was very comfortable. The landlady was very kind and friendly. I love a little touch such as a cookie or a slice of homemade cake every day in the room! The parking area was very spacious and had enough room for all guests! I truly hope to stay there again!

This is my second time staying here at Jackie's. She is an excellent host, you're spoilt for breakfast, and her local knowledge is extensive. I asked for the same room as last time ('Kentmere'), because the four-poster is so grand, and because the views from both windows are like paintings that keep changing. The room itself -- elegantly decorated with darkwood dresser, cupboards and wardrobe (in which there's a little fridge) -- is impeccably clean and neat with a cosily compact en suite, and a really good shower and washing facilities. Sure, there's a TV, but I just wanted to read a book with endless cups of tea, enjoying those sweet cakey treats Jackie leaves next to your kettle and hot drink things, all whilst listening to lambs bleating in the fells of the narrow valley. It really is this idyllic. Also, there are walks everywhere! Heaven.
