Only issue was noise levels that were heard in room. Could hear everybody who walked past and people in the next room.

Location was fantastic as were staff and cleanliness. Great facilities and room was spacious with a comfortable bed.

Strange bath/shower taps! Only one large bath towel for 2 people. Bit noisy at front of building, but to be expected in a city.

Main restaurant needed more vegiterian option .breakfast as extra for my booking thoght 15£ but £19.50 a bit steep though i actually didnt have as extra and didnt have as was having early lunch . food was a bit salty better none (and salt on table these days due to many people with presure problems ).the cranberry juice was a cordial yuk i was not expecting (staff informed me its not their usual product .(for your generally high quality food drinks not an acceptable option if you cant get good quality leave off the drinks menu or voice not available) offer alternative good juice option instead. 1 hour free leway for vacating room 20£ a bit steep (i work in the hospitality buiseness so im able to be sincere in my opinion and also visited many quality hotels world wide. All round generaly satisfied thank you.Id have liked to see /read /learn some history or been able to learn some history of the hotel ,Coach house and Police station part maybe some black and white wall photos and some history or a site of your hotel which also ads informative history and photos. I thought that walls in main sitting check in area were a bit bare and cold as were i felt the walls in the rooms to bland also but loved the woodand natural throughout some greenery also in large open sitting area make it more cosy .there are also many plants which purify air which look great mostly my coments i feel are constructive i think.

Welcome friendly helpful desk staff. Spa service with a smile and happy to accomodate professional helpful staff great . kettle ,tea cofee options buiscuits lovely in room. Bathrooms and bath towls great lovely big bath towel so nice.Presentation of food nice( but some portions a bit scarce) All round generally satisfied will return for sure. Fridge in the room, it was hot, a mini bar/fridge to keep drinks cold would be appreciated. Also if anything the A/C worked too well and had a central override so kept going really cold - although rather that than the other way around!

Spacious room in a nice part of town with lots of great restaurants/cafes close by, a short walk from the centre. The spa (additional charge) was also a little oasis in the middle of a busy city. Really enjoyed our stay there

The position of the bath/shower taps outside the shower screen was awkward. The wardrobe door was stiff and clunky, needed some lubricant! The room was on the small side.

Location was ideal for us as we were attending a wedding at the Metropolitan Cathedral. The hotel bar and 1931 restaurant were great, the breakfast was also good.

Breakfast was fine. The server did practically snap my hand off when I tried to serve myself ( not knowing that I shouldn't) and eggs had to be ordered via a waiter which seemed pointless ( and took more time)

Could not get the shower temperature to lower, it was near scalding even turning it both ways. My partner realised that would have to turn it past the point where it feels like it cant turn anymore. I did not realise this as I didn’t want to break the shower.

Breakfast seemed overpriced at £19 a head, particularly if you don’t want a full cooked meal. Coffee & croissants/bagels good option one door along!

Very central. Staff were exceptional, particularly on Reception. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Plenty of hanging space. Great to have bath as well as shower. We stayed 3 nights and then extra night as part of my nephews wedding package. Would recommend the hotel for anyone celebrating a big event.

Staff in the bar in the evening were rude, we returned for a drink after a concert at the cathedral and there was no friendly service, we were told we had to move to another area just prior to midnight which would be fine however it was the way were were asked. Barmaid finished off by saying ‘what a fuckin shift’ out very loud as we were still seated. This is not what we expected from a hotel of this rating especially when spending a considerable amount on our bar tab.

We have stayed here before a number of years ago, I had purchased this stay as a present for my brother and sister in law. Hotel was as expected and very clean.
