United KingdomThe hotel is under renovation , it's understandable that some parts of the hotel like the carpets are not done yet. One staff member during breakfast wasn't smiling and not helpful on our first day. But everyone seems great.
The locations was perfect , everything is just few yards away from the shops and restaurants. Hotel is near the Town Hall of Barrow. Car park is free. Good selections of breakfast . From full Scottish to continental. Drinks are cheap.

United KingdomBreakfast staff very chaotic, wrong breakfast given multiple days to multiple people and not the best quality. Our room was VERY hot! Heating was off, window open and fan on our whole stay and it was still red hot outside temp was only mid teens so not sure why it was so hot, staff said the hotel is just generally hot. Room was missing a chair and side table wasn't anywhere to put our belongings apart from on the floor really. Cleanliness could be improved slightly.
Reception desk staff were very lovely. The location was great for us as we love to walk and there is plenty of spots to walk close by. Room good size and bed was comfy.

United KingdomThe only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast. Black pudding wasn’t on the menu but found its way on our plates & I don’t like it luckily it was removed quickly by my husband.
The hotel is under refurbishment which is well under way. The areas that are finished are to a good standard. The bar is a modern design & is open. Booking.com have it as closed but it’s definitely open well stocked but no draught lager or beer yet but plenty of bottles & reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming,helpful & friendly. As the restaurant isn’t finished yet they recommended Francesca’s Italian to dine & it was very good. Would definitely stay there again the hotel was quiet & we used their car park but there were limited spaces available.

Central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Our rooms were lovely and clean. Comfy, clean beds and good sized bath towels. Loved to decor in the bar area. Cooked breakfast was really nice and there was a good selection of cereals, juices, tea and coffee all served by friendly staff. We were looked after very well.

United KingdomThe room I had was perfectly comfortable and had great facilities, but owing to the design and renovation of the room (To provide ensuite facilities) the only natural light and fresh air was via the bathroom, which meant that to have fresh air, resulted in light coming in owing to a lack of curtains in the bathroom. A first would problem.
The greatest element of this little gem is undoubtedly the staff. I arrived late in the day but the team in duty were simply amazing.

United KingdomIt was great for what we paid, but if had to be picky, bathroom could do with a deep clean, was dusty and the shower drain was smelly and didn’t drain. We had the cleaning cupboard next to our room and staff were in and out a lot starting quite early and woke us a few morning with the noise. We would defo go back tho.
