Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast could be better, we like a HOT cooked breakfast & drinks- both were only warm both days we had it.... and small gripe, served well done streaky bacon , for me personally not a hotel breakfast bacon.
Lovely size bedroom, very comfy bed. Nice guest lounge. On-site bar is a bonus for an evening drink lovely girl on bar when we were there.

United KingdomNothing I didn't like but room service would have been a nice option, but the restaurant is right next door. Generally fairly quiet but worth noting you are right next to the theatre, bar and restaurant so will be noisy, especially on weekends. Didn't bother me though.
Staff were very friendly and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Biscuits were a nice touch. Perfect location for exploring Cirencester and the surrounding Cotswolds.

United KingdomWe had some.issues with our breakfasts but the staff dealt with it to a satisfactory outcome. Rooms are quite expensive especially for single occupancy.
The location is great. Just 5 minutes walk from town and next to The Barn Theatre. The food in the restaurant Teatro is delicious . Saturday night entertainment in the Piano Bar was great.

United KingdomThis is a difficult one as it didn't just affect us as it also affected other couples waiting for breakfast. Breakfast was between 8am - 10.30am on Sundays. We came down for breakfast at 8am along with another couple who were attending the airshow that morning. The receptionist didn't mention anything about a problem with breakfast when we asked where we needed to go. All the lights were off in the dining area & we had to turn them on ourselves. A lovely young lad appeared to ask us what we would like to drink & made our drinks. At that time, nothing was mentioned about a problem. When our order was taken, we were told that there would be a delay of 10 mins as there was a problem with the chef. This was fine, but after being told our breakfasts were on the way & the waiting hour & 30mins. The 1st couple asked how long they would have to wait as they needed to go to the airshow, and theirs did actually appear. We ordered at the same time but ours never arrived. A couple who ordered after us got their breakfasts. We waited for another 10mins as we had been there for an hour & 40 mins by then. We had to leave as we had a long drive home, hence wanting breakfast at 8am. So no breakfast. I felt sorry for the young lad trying to help the situation with different excuses, but when he came out to say that the egg pan had split so no poached eggs it all started to resemble a scene from Fawlty Towers. Such a shame as the hotel is lovely, but Sunday breakfast just became a comedy of errors. There were only 3 couples to start with, but by the time we had to leave, there were another 3 couples sitting down. Hopefully, things were better for them.
The hotel itself is lovely. Well situated for the RIAT airshow which we attended on saturday. This is our 2nd stay here. The rooms are lovely, very warm but a fan was provided & much needed. Lovely big comfy bed. Lovely big, clean bathroom & large towels. Water was provided in the fridge along with a small bottle of fresh milk for your tea & coffee. I would have given 10/10, but breakfast let it down.

United KingdomWe had dinner and were slightly disappointed on a couple of items. We ordered baked camembert, but were advised to order more bread at an extra charge, which was fine as the portions of bread with the meal were inadequate for the amount of cheese. The cheese was delicious. But you should not have to pay for more bread in our view to enjoy a meal from the menu to its fullest. The other item was a lovely lamb dish which presentation wise was unappealing, although very tasty. Again the small portion of flatbread provided was inadequate for the amount of meat.
Breakfast was excellent. The location is great for walking to Cirencester or visiting other Cotswold towns to the north. The staff were friendly and lovely too. Room was very comfortable with good facilities including a Dyson fan which was essential at night when it was quite warm, even in April.
