Clean and very cosy, beautiful place, loads of towels and they had left us wine, t bags , coffee, sugar. Lots of extras, hot tub was warmed and ready to go upon arrival. There was also netflix, prime video, good wifi and board games, books too on local history, beddingg was lovely and fresh and great bathroom too.

We loved the barn and the super comfy beds. The entrance to the property from the main road is very slightly tricky to find but you won’t be disappointed when you get there. Janet was a lovely host although not always easy to get hold off being very busy on the farm but she is very helpful when you do. The property was spotless. I would certainly recommend and hope to revisit. Thank you Janet.

We had a wonderful weekend here to celebrate my husbands birthday, the bothy has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. It was lovely and clean, the bed was very comfortable too. The added bonus’s for us was 1- being pet friendly so we could bring along our 2 dogs and 2 - having a hot tub. We will definitely be back to visit again!

A lovely little bothy on a working farm perfect for a little birthday treat.Loved listen to the farm animals and watching the birds in a morning. Dogs were welcome. Would visit again if in the area

It was a real shame the internet box chose to break down during our stay as I’d promised my husband we had Wi-Fi. Unfortunately late the last evening we stayed was the only time we could use it. As it is a little off the beaten track this gave us some issues with our phones as we tend to rely on WhatsApp and internet services. However I must stress that this was not the host’s fault who reported it immediately to BT who came out within 4 days.

Loved the location, the Bothy itself and all the amenities. For us it was very convenient as we were visiting my sister about 10 miles away.

So much attention to detail to make a stay perfect. Didn't use the hot tub thanks to Storm Ashley but felt very safe and cosy inside during the wild weather. Close to Muirkirk which has a well stocked village shop, and on the main road to the nearest town if you need more supplies.

Very rural quiet and peaceful. Lovely high quality interior. Good linens and towels . Plenty cleaning products deo shampoos and body washes to use. Kitchen well stocked pots pans glasses and nice crockery. Condiments sauces and spices to use and tea coffee sugar Hot tub was lovely sitting in the dark under the twinkling stars and the bonus was the dog was allowed too Working farm spoke to the farmer when he was dipping his sheep and his wife Janet could be reached at any time using messaging . Prompt replies and request completed fast ,both very pleasant and helpful 2 days just wasnt enough.

We were only their for 2 nights .

I loved the way the Bothy was converted from stables to a open plan kitchen, living room with a wood burning stove also two bedrooms bathroom with shower and plenty hot water , and the hot tub brilliant and a walk round the farm reminiscing as I worked there 63 years ago what a change .The hosts Alistair and Janet are a lovely couple.
