The pool was very cold and spa facilities weren’t very welcoming.

Hotel was beautiful and clean with excellent facilities and fantastic staff. Bed were very comfortable, room was spotless and lots of attention to detail. Excellent views and the best meal is ever had at the restaurant.

Dinner in restaurant was not good value for money, over priced for small portions, although good local produce.

Not a problem as such, but the walk from our room to the reception, restaurant, bar or spa was fairly long, with several stairs and lengthy corridors to navigate. I didn’t see a lift in the hotel but I may be wrong.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and always on hand to handle any questions. The manager Miguel was particularly welcoming and the restaurant staff professional and accommodating during the busy breakfast sessions.

Room was a long way from the reception and up and down a number of stairs. No lift was available- or certainly we and others were not advised of one, nor about the stairs. If you have large suitcases this is a real issue. A large organised group arrived on our second day so upon arriving at breakfast the next day, we and a number of others were told we needed to take breakfast in the lounge area of the restaurant. Sitting on sofas to eat is not great. The restaurant should make better provision for guests or at least advise them that the breakfast area is ‘booked out at certain times. I do not expect this from a 4* property.

    Great location. Lovely room.

Dinner was expensive, a table d’hote menu would be good. Could be served before 8, to preserve the time for the expensive a la carte menu.

Comfortable rooms, helpful staff, good location,

Pleasant property but poor value and understaffed

Harried staff couldn't really cope with the volume of guests it seemed and our dinner suffered as a consequence (waiting for menus, wrong drinks delivered, part of our meal delivered to another table and then collected and served - somewhat lukewarm - to us). But mostly the 'value for money' just wasn't there. It was a very expensive B&B indeed, even with recent price increases, for a fairly bog standard 4* hotel.

Quite a modern property situated on the coast with lovely views from the bar / restaurant areas. It's away from any town centres so unless you're willing to drive somewhere for a meal you'll be dining at the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast and whilst the staff tried their best they were just overwhelmed / understaffed, as seems to be the case in so many venues since Brexit. Anyhoo, our room was pleasant, if very small, and as a bed for the night en route to other destinations, it was perfectly fine if expensive.

The spa area is dated and follows a strange system. You need to take your shoes off before entering the spa area and no bathrobe or bathing shoes are offered. Additionally, the lockers for hotel guests don't lock and there are no separate showers apart from a few beside the pool and one in the sauna area. The sauna and steam room are quite small and were full upon our visit. The swimming pool is large mind you and perfect for a few lengths.

Comfortable room, nice bar area and a delicious breakfast

The only issue we experienced was a shortage of staff at breakfast. The staff there were friendly but disorganised. This is more of a management issue which I suspect was due to staff shortages or absences. We helped ourselves to menus, found our own table and nabbed someone to make an order (the food arrived quite quickly) but we shouldn't have had to. Three separate staff visited our table, two of whom had no idea where in the ordering process we were and tried to clear our table before we had ordered. There was an air of headless chickens and other diners were losing their sense of humour. I felt sorry for the staff as I felt they were trying really hard and remained friendly and professional

A great location for the ferry port and a beautiful view. The welcome was very friendly and the rooms and other facilities were very high standard. We especially loved the use of local products everywhere including the rooms. The bar menu was good as were the drinks. Breakfast was especially good value for money and was plentiful and delicious.

The vibe in the restaurant was bad. Something was going on with the staff, everyone seemed very tense and stressed. Not the nice holiday feeling we expected in a place like that. We did not feel welcome but like a chore. The next day after a 53 people bus had left (a tour bus) it was a bit better, but we still heard staff screaming at each other in the kitchen. Also servers in the restaurant were badmouthing the tour group that had just left with other guests. Doesn’t leave a nice impression. My recommendation: If you don’t have the staff to meet the expectation of your upper level pricing clientele, something should change very quickly.

The clean and nicely furnished room and very good breakfast.

I was disappointed with the room. We paid for a premiere room but it was just standard and the paint needed a freshen up.

The only criticism l have is that one of the spa staff was curt, rude and unhelpful. I wanted to buy a product but her attitude and rudeness meant that my wife and I decided not to have any further contact with her.

The location was excellent. The room was as advertised, great view. The room was clean and the tea cakes and dog treats were well received. The food was great, and the hotel staff were courteous and helpful

We had the very last room down end of long corridors - no real access via car so spent time taking suitcases and dog bed etc on a long hike!! We used the kitchen access car park to load back up.

Quality of food excellent and breakfast staff so friendly and helpful. Lovely location - perfect for ferry and good grounds to stroll around in by the waters edge. Didn't get to use spa/swimming facilities sadly as short on time.
