We had a lovely stay at this guest house. Andy is very kind and welcoming. When we arrived, he explained everything clearly, then gave us space to settle in which we really appreciated. There was a nice little welcome treat, gingerbread and lemon water, which was a lovely touch. The house is spotlessly clean (Monica clean! if you watch 'friend' series). We stayed in a room on the first floor with a view of Windermere. The bed was very comfortable, and a fan was provided, which was perfect for the summer. The room included a wardrobe, hair dryer, tea and coffee, and shower essentials everything we needed. The location is perfect: quiet, peaceful, and within walking distance to everything in town. I definitely recommend staying here!

1- The only small thing that made me slightly uncomfortable was being told they might enter the room 15 minutes after checkout time — it felt like there wasn’t much privacy, knowing they had spare keys. But aside from that, everything else was lovely and well taken care of. 2- The place is about a 20-minute walk from the lake.

Lovely spot in Windermere just a short walk from the train station. Comfortable, clean rooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and gave us some excellent tips for things to do in the area. Several very good restaurants just down the road. The area is well connected by public transport, with frequent buses to locations throughout the Lake District.

Location was ideal, just a 10 minute walk into the centre. Friendly hosts, just a knock on their door away if needed. Comfy bed, quiet location, fab shower, and fresh homemade biscuits every day.

The guesthouse is a convenient five-minute walk to the Windermere town centre, and a 20-minute or so stroll down to Bowness, where there is access to buses, train (Windermere) and ferries (Bowness). Andy and Tracey were lovely hosts, and I appreciated the local knowledge Andy shared as I was planning my sightseeing. I stayed in a single ensuite room which was comfortably appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, particularly after days wandering around the Lake District. Understandably, there is a no hot takeaway food allowed in the guest rooms, so you need to be prepared to eat out or pick up some cold items if you want to eat in your room. Similarly, there are no common spaces at the guesthouse, so you are either in your room or out and about. This wasn't a problem or draw back (particularly with all the things to see and places to eat around Windermere and Bowness), but I think its good to know if you are, like me, someone who doesn't necessarily factor in dining out all the time. I would happily stay here again and recommend the guesthouse to other travellers.

We had a wonderful two night stay.Our room was beautiful,lovely furniture and luxurious bedding. Great location with parking. Lovely host and the homemade cookies were delicious, what a nice touch! We would definitely return.
