Only one concern ........regarding events. Check with hotel beforehand once booked if having a live band playing as very noisy in our room 1, but we were informed of this on our arrival, luckily we were going out and came back after the band finished. So we missed the noise.

Lovely hotel but I would say more of a pub than hotel. Can see rooms have been refurbished and very nicely done......shower room excellent. Staff very friendly and accomadating and breakfast was very good and large portions. Usb points in room, so clearly for business events too. Good location , so would recommend. Will definitely stay again but check no band playing .

Visiting my daughter who lives on Walney, so the location is ideal, Private entrance for out of hours use is ideal so you dont have to rush back. Car park for off street parking of vehicles.

Disappointed the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and i wasn’t informed of this at the time of booking

Breakfast was terrible, told no eggs so ordered bacon then my husband’s breakfast came out with a fried egg???

The shower room was too small & the shower head was faulty. The bath towels were too small, the bed & pillows really need replacing. The bay window was too deep/ big /tall to be able to open or close the only window that opened thus making it very noisy as directly over the front entrance & terrace. As the windows are large it would seem appropriate to put up privacy voile/net panels as one can look up into the rooms from the road & kerb side

The room was spacious enough but a little on the dull side as there was no decor. The staff were very friendly & helpful The food was delicious.

The kitchen was out of order for 2 out of the 3 days that I was staying. Which would be slightly annoying but understandable if I was told before arriving. One of the main reason I pick the hotel was the reviews about the food

Paid for 2 nights B&B, No breakfast being served on 2nd morning of stay and No one around. Had to find My own before long ride home!!!

No evening food avialable after 8pm. Staff on mobile phone whilst I was waiting to check in. No tea bags in the room ( I don't drink coffee, which there was plenty of) I didn't have time for the full breakfast & the door into dining room locked, although it was early at 7am. A cheaper room only price would have been batter for my needs, or room + evn meal after 8 instead of breakfast.

No food is served in the hotel on Mondays or Tuesdays, however, this was not a problem as there are plenty of places to eat in the town.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean and a nice breakfast was served. There was live music in the pub for those who enjoy that kind of thing. The music finished at 10pm, so it was not too intrusive for those who were not into it.

There was no staff in early morning when we want to leave and we couldn’t due we didn’t know where to put their room key in safe place and I had to text them to ask.

Good location for easy travel to Lake District for the day. Staff are friendly and kind. Meal was lovely.
