Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

As with many buildings in Europe, especially older ones, there is no central air, so it was a bit warm in August. But the affordable price still made it a good value.
The cooked to order breakfast was excellent and the decor was charming. The guest house was easy to find and has its own parking in the back. It is near a grocery store, Morrison's, that has a cafe with tasty food at very good prices.

Shower a bit small, but that's all.
Lovely big room with comfortable beds. Good idea having a couple of folding chairs available instead of filling the room with extra furniture. Breakfast good too.

Warm and friendly welcome, very comfortable, really clean, great location for shops and places to eat. Secure off road parking. Excellent breakfast. Definitely stay again when we’re back in the area.

Great location for access across Central Scotland. Airdrie town centre a couple of hundred yards away along a fairly flat road so an easy stroll.. The guest house was well presented and clean. The hostess was great and provided an excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this guest house and will use again.

Had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Extremely clean with very friendly accommodating owner, and well placed to walk for food and town centre. Really appreciated the parking and the real coffee at breakfast. Very reasonable value at the price point!

We loved everything in Knights rest Guest house. Very clean, very comfortable rooms having everything you need, very cozy. Staff incredible friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very full and well cooked. WE REALLY WAS HAPPY ABOUT OUR STAY AND CAN RECOMEND TO EVERYONE TO STAY IN THIS GUEST HOUSE ❤️❤️👍❤️❤️

Noisy road and could have been a wider choice/variety for breakfast. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes.
Location and parking was very good for exploring the local area and getting the train to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Suzanne the host was very friendly and informative. Breakfast was ok, but no tomatoes, mushrooms or potatoes offered and no menu. No Marmalade or fruit but there was orange juice. Road outside was busy and noisy, but we knew it was on a road when we booked.

Everything was excellent
Very well located and appointed Exceptionally clean with some little surprises such as biscuits and sweets which we had with our coffee. Great to have our own ensuite and good sized tv. Although other guests were staying at the guest house privacy was well maintained. Cean was a fantastic hostess and made our stay an excellent one. She was very friendly and welcoming and came up with some very good suggestions such as a great restaurant for dinner and how to best utilise our time to see as much of Glasgow as we could. We were also provided with a cooked breakfast ( eggs the way we wanted ) sausage and bacon, toast, juice and coffee. An excellent way to start the day We walked to restaurant and train station and did not need our car which was safely parked at the premises and off the street. Would love to stay here again
