There was only one communal toilet, and shower room, so you had to wait to take a shower sometimes if others were using it

The bothy is cosy with the wood burner and has a stylish interior.

I didn’t like that the bathroom and shower were outside. I not sure I would stay here again because of that reason

I liked the Bothy… it was really comfortable, cozy and secure.

Loved the Bothie, was adequate met all our needs. Bed was so comfortable and clean white bedding. Outside shower and bathroom facilities were good with heaters in them. Bothie was cozy with electric heater and stove heater. Had everything cutlery, cooker hob, sink, hot and cold water, table and 2 stools. Just a great stay we really enjoyed the peace. Lakeside view. Space for car at each of the bothies. Excellent! Photos of inside bothie are when we had stripped the bed to leave, bed was made up with lovely fresh white bedding on arrival.

Could have done with a couple folding chairs at the table for eating. Also the kitchen equipment needs an upgrade - the non stick pan was small and badly scratched and no dish towel. Also a bit more wood in winter would be appreciated.

Very clean and cosy. Comfy bed and easy access to the shared facilities. Easy to find.

The facilities were great for a bothy but could do with a seat other than the bed itself.

Loved the view and the proximity to the Great Glen Way path. The toilet and shower are really close by, as is the pub boat and little coffee shop at the locks.

A shelf located in shower room would have been a bonus. Remove the large table and install two comfy chairs with a fold up table….. perfect!

Accommodation was perfect after a long days hike on the Great Glen Way, A few steps off the Way and your there. Log burner was great addition keeping you snug and warm. Great design of Bothies.

Lack of places to eat - local barge restaurant was closed for 2 weeks when we arrived. Price was very high for what we got.

It is basic (which I like) but I think the price is higher than it should be. That would put me off staying again.

The location is superb and it was great to park close by. The building itself is interesting and the wood stove makes it.

A few (mostly minor) issues. The glass in one of the double doors had shattered, and there was a piece of paper telling us not to touch or open that door - I would have expected this to have been fixed before we arrived. Even if it happened immediately before our arrival with no time to repair, I would have appreciated some communication. No curtain on the big glass door, so privacy an issue in terms of getting changed. Row of sockets behind the sink, and the dishes draining board on top of the fridge. The room could've been a bit cleaner. These issues didn't affect us too much, but for £165 a night I think they're worth mentioning.

Convenient bothy which was ideally suited for 3 people on a walking holiday. Nice location on the banks of Loch Lochy, overlooking the canal lock. Good shower.

Bothy could use updating, lock on the internal door was tricky to use, at the bottom of the external door and window the wood has rotted, and there seemed to be flies getting inside somewhere. But these are relatively minor details, overall the bothy was comfortable and a nice stay.

Location and comfort of property were excellent. Ideal for walkers looking for a warm stay after hiking. Wood burning stove was great for keeping warm at night. Bunk beds were comfortable and we had no problem sleeping at night. Normally they do not accept same day booking but they made an exception as we had booked through booking.com

The door on the bothies does need fixing as one of the locks doesn't work correctly. This does hinder the security or use of the door though.

The location is amazing and the bothie is great.

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the great glen way. Excellent location and very clean and bed very comfortable. We were able to heat up some food and found everything we needed. Teabags and coffee and sugar were supplied. The toilet and shower were very clean and we had our own key for use. The wood burner was a pleasant touch. The kiosk and barge were closed so can’t comment on them. Bus stop very close too for us to continue our journey.
