The person looking after the b and b was very pleasant and working under difficult circumstances.

The room was quite small. Nowhere to sit except the bed. Everything looked very ‘tired’ and could have done with a thorough deep clean

The accommodation had availability and reasonable pricing for Oban in mid summer. It had central location, though it was on busy main road. Beds were comfortable and clean , and there was tea and coffee in room. Private bathroom, with TV and Sky. Contact telephone with host representative who was often busy elsewhere. A cooked breakfast was available when ordered.

The decoration was unusual with original plastered ceilings, dark hall, with many different styles throughout. Old fashioned and tired! Breakfast was not the usual free-flowing self serve buffet type. Drinks limited to one mug ( instant coffee). Though spoons on table, no cereal available. Felt it was restricted in generosity.

Having the desktop fan was a great help. It was unusually hot when we were in Oban. Brilliant. The team on hand were so helpful and polite.

The location is a 10. Line(SPELLING) Is an extremely hard worker who is very helpful. We had one of our best dinner's in Oban at The Loren. Highly recommend it. He came every morning to cook breakfast. Usually it was eggs, bacon(ham), beans, and mushrooms. Coffee or tea was also offered along with water.

It was difficult to get the right water temperature. It definitely needed some work. I encourage the owners to fix that.

Chris was exceptionally accommodating to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Just the stairs but Chris assisted with that too.

Centrally located period property with good bed and although compact, OK bathroom. The bonus breakfast was great.

    Perhaps too many ornaments.

The position. The one staff member helped us use the TV. Cooked breakfast was offered and my husband ate his. My poached egg was cold and watery

From the outside this B&B was neglected looking and off-putting. Inside there was a shabby appearance though looking at our room I would say there is probably daily cleaning but the edges , hinges etc needed a deep clean, there was peeling wallpaper and renovation needed. Breakfast was chaotic. The staff didn't tell us where the fruit juice was and I had to ask for butter and only saw the jam when leaving. No fruit was offered or cereals

Chris provided a good breakfast but I think he simply had too much to do. He was in charge of everything. The location was good.

The place really needs a good cleaning. The comforter on our bed wasn’t clean, dust on furniture etc. The entrance needs work as well. It’s just unkept. Sorry to give this review but it was really overpriced for what we received. Would not recommend it. No reflection on Chris.

We liked the location and the flamboyant style of interior decorating. The beds were comfortable.

We had trouble operating the shower, with the switch in the bedroom, and then we couldn't turn the shower off with the on/off button on the device itself. Tourists need instructions with this typically British device!!! Also the lovely young man who as he told us is also the manager of the Chinese Restaurant around the corner seemed rather overworked. He was perfectly friendly and hospitable, but he had to divide his attention between the two places and was dashing back and forth both when we checked in and the next morning for breatfast. Finally, British/Scottish food (especially breakfast) just isn't up to the standards of many other countries, unfortunately.
