Staff were lovely, breakfast was good, view from my room was spectacular and it was cheap, clean, warm and dry.

    Nothing

It was dated, smelly unclean and not habitable. The carpets were filthy and dusty along with lampshades. The shower was mouldy and not fit for purpose. The mattress was like concrete!

The hotel has a great location overlooking the bay, worth paying a bit extra for a sea view. There's limited free parking right outside. Room was really outdated, straight out the 70s, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Downstairs there are two large rooms with full windows giving great views and it seemed a nice place to relax. One of them was a bar and the bar and food prices seemed very good. There was a nice, jolly atmosphere throughout the hotel. Not a place if you're trying to impress but great price for a functional place to sleep.

The hotel is extremely old-fashioned and basic with a tiny toilet and shower that looked like it had never been updated. However, it's cheap, and if they updated it that would be reflected in a higher price. The tv is tiny and only has a few channels, and the wifi is basically non-existent.

Where it was situated was good. Shower was powerful. Breakfast was well organised and delicious

Parking was hit and miss not enough spaces. Rooms are along lots of corridors like a maze. On suite but sink in bedroom tiny box room toilet/shower. Room in need of decoration. Shower base very rusty and sink in bedroom. Not enough staff only one person doing reception bar etc.

Good location, parking and easy to walk into Oban centre. Friendly and helpful staff.

The property is very old and tired, it needs refurbishing, the decor is dated and needs modernisation.

Stayed several times at the lancaster ,it is well situated with private car park, we had the sea view which was a bit bigger and bed clean and comfortable . The breakfast was good

The hotel is very dated and needs some tlc, we were informed that the owner was considering an offer from a large company so is reluctant to put money into it. Some of the accessories are very old and def needs an upgrade, saying that I will prob be going again next year

Easy check-in, friendly staff, clean and tidy. Great views if you book the ocean view. Great place to take you pet.

Beds way too soft and furniture that needs updating. Having to choose your breakfast choices the day before and thee worsted coffee. The church bells going off every hour (I know this can't be helped, but stops you from having a laid in).

    The location.

Not what I booked again. The room was shocking. Very out dated but wouldn’t be out of place back in the 70s and was charged top price. I looked at some pictures of the hotel before booking but totally missed sold. I ordered a double room with a sea view and a en-suite but what I got was a very small room with the en-suite consisting of a very rusty shower and toilet and the best was the sink outside the bathroom. I was also charged for breakfast which I was told it was included when I booked. The breakfast was very basic and cheap ingredients. The best part, I was booked for two nights but couldn’t stay there for another night, hence I booked myself and my wife in another hotel just down the road and it cost me another £130 for the night which was the same price I paid for this hotel and it was like chalk and cheese. We will not be staying there again.

Breakfast staff were really friendly. Reasonable prices in the bar.

Having stayed several times in the past I thought I knew what to expect. The non cleaning of the room, unless you asked for tea, coffee, bin to be emptied etc due to covid really was a joke as we never saw the sign until our return on the 2nd evening. Shower was also a joke very little water pressure.

The cost is very good for a seafront hotel. The breakfast was good.

A bit worn and dated but you get what you pay for. A room and ensuite for a good price.

    Staff were lovely.

The rooms were dreadful. Holes in the walls. Ceilings split ,cracked. Bedside lights didn't work. Furniture from the ark. Repairs to the room had been attempted, but it looked as if by a toddler. Mould on the ceiling .
