Bathroom was a bit tired and could have done with a bit of a refurb. Tap was loose and dripped, door was chipped and could have done with a lick of paint, holes in the floor where something had been fastened down. This was in a premier room as well.

Room was excellent, breakfast very good and staff outstanding.

The room was dated, rust on the taps, cracked tiles in the bathroom, wall so thin we could hear next door.

The staff were super friendly, and we like the flavoured water at reception too.

Our room whilst very nice was a little warm for me, so I had the windows open over night as couldn’t find the air conditioning. Due to the traffic noise outside my sleep was disturbed.

Excellent evening meal in the restaurant and friendly, efficient staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool and steam room.

Small jacuzzi with 3 men sitting having a conference and pool too occupied. Maybe operate a booking system or reserve some of the time as allocated times?

BOOKING. COM recommended the room we booked, then said it was not suitable for us. So had to call hotel direct to make sure it was. It was suitable before booking. Hotel room... TV was at the opposite end of the room. Daughter was sleeping on sofa bed in between the TV and our bed so couldn't watch TV after she went to bed. It would be a good idea to relocate TV so we could use all facilities conveniently.

Service always great. Staff very friendly and house keeping kindly made up the sofa bed and returned it to sofa in the morning sonwe could use space in the room. Convenient location close to Tesside Autodrome which is our reason for travelling to Teesside. Because Bkng.com only booked 2 adults as explained below, the hotel kindly didn't charge us for a 3rd breakfast for our daughter. SPA, pool and gym a BONUS. CAN'T FAULT IT FOR THE PRICE.

Asked the staff member at the reception if we’d have water in the rooms as it’s mentioned in the room description, he told us we would have to purchase it at reception as it’s not included(£2.50 per bottle). We purchased 4 bottles of water and when we got to our rooms there was bottled water. One of the rooms had a dirty bathroom, hairs in the shower, so we had to request a new room which wasn’t much better.

On arrival, i was given breakfast times and informed the bank holiday Monday breakfast is served till 11am got there for 10am to be told breakfast closes at 10am so we had no breakfast which i was looking forward

The Booking.com account of the hotel was compromised - I received a message with a link to make a payment which later turned out to be a scammer (I didn't make any payment). Never use payment links other than on Booking.com or better yet pay at the hotel. The WIFI network is unsecured which makes it it easy for hackers to steal your accounts and passwords. Implementing WPA2 doesn't cost much and this should be standard at all hotels. There was a long queue at check-in; one member of staff had to deal with at least 15 guests. Finally after 10 minutes her colleague arrived but instead of helping the guests she prioritised answering the phone. The hotel offers a check-in by internet service but as the hotel account was compromised I didn't want to risk it. The car park seems to be first come, first serve and you compete with local guests that are using the gym. The hotel also charges separately for using the car park. The TV didn't work at first and also some of the lights didn't function. It turned out that everything was unplugged - plugging everything back in resolved the issue. This is not the hotel fault but the area around the hotel is severely deprived; I was shocked to see shut down businesses, drug users passed out on the street and what looked liked groups of muggers looking for a new victim. I would strongly recommend not to go out in the evening by yourself.

The staff is super friendly and they really make the hotel shine. The fitness area looked great (although I didn't use it). Breakfast was extensive and well prepared. The room was good - although I wish a little bit more overhead lights at night time. There was enough parking space available (there is an overflow car park at the back of the hotel). The surrounding area has quite a few nice restaurants - but be aware (see below). Alternatively the hotel offers an extensive meal selection and room service 24/7y.

TV didn't seem to work properly. Didn't have basic channels. View of closed down buildings opposite was a shame, however, probably more peaceful as one of the closed businesses was a pub.
